I guess OP pays whatever the CSA calculates is appropriate and this reduces GF's benefits.

No I guess that the OP and his GF will have a private agreement keeping the CSA out of the picture and he will pay her no more than £20, which is the threshold before it would affect her I.S.

This has been the case since Oct 08, and all in the name of reducing child poverty rather than preventing fraud on the I.S claim bill.

Back to the original point though, it could be that if he lives with his parents and with his GF on weekends it could be construed as they are only living apart while he goes to work, so he could still be classed as living there.
    Nothing to see here

I feel so sorry for that poor child, as these attitudes of entitlement pass down the generations. What a p**s poor example for parents to set. It would break my heart not to see my child every day for her entire childhood.
    Been away for a while.

I don't know if you have considered this, but if you had not been able to get on with your lady friend previously, you could move back in and go to Relate.

Sounds as if living together was the reason for not getting on .... it meant a shortfall in benefits, which caused too much stress.

    Honestly,

    tell them to go away,
they have to prove beyond reasonable doubt that you committed the fraud.

So, if you have been staying there, naughty, naughty, fess up and move in properly.

If you haven't been staying there
    a) your a liar
    b) this jobcentre bloke is not doing his job right and just trying to scare on flimsy/gut feeling

reason being that each council has a BFU (Benefits Fraud Unit) when a case is referred to them it is applied to a matrix ( i.e. who referred it, what is the fraud, how much, how long) whereby it is given a priority level.

There is a lot of crackpots that after initial investigation the cases are dropped, but there are tell signs that then warrant further investigation.

Hard evidence is then found and she will be prosecuted, which could cause fines and suspension of benefit.

so if you truely are innocent tell him to get lost, if your not innocent your kinda screwed.

As stated throughout this thread - i would prefer not to get my parents involved - i have personal reasons for this....

Stronger than your desire to stop the mother of your child from being investigated for fraud?

Is it my job to validate that im NOT living there? OR,...is it their job to PROVE that i am?

How can they just go off a tip off? Someone is evidently lying - it could be for malous or pure hate?

I will provide - bills that i pay at my parents - including broadband bills, card staments, insurance policy statment etc etc....

    I will contact JOBCENTREPLUS tommrorow

It sounds as though they have no evidence, just a tip off - take these documents to the JC, and ask to see a manager.

The chances are that the whole thing will be dropped, as without evidence, a tribunal would overturn the decision to stop paying.

If they do write to say they are stopping your GF's income support, and they still have no evidence, then she should appeal the decision, and get some advice, and someone to represent her:

You can tell a lot about a woman by her hands..........for instance, if they are placed around your throat, she's probably slightly upset. ;)
