If i had been living there - and the'd "caught me out" - id be okay with it and pay what i owed...and that would be that

BUT - i havent even been living there - and thats the worst thing about it!

I would have though they would compile an investigation - where they gather evidence - camera footage... had they have done this - they would know that i have not been living with her....

Doesn't the fact they're asking your parents to offer a 'statement' or whatever it is, constitute gathering evidence you don't live there?

then again maybe they are trying to prove you DONT live there, someone I knew had a girfriend a child and they were claiming at seperate addresses because they each got more as a single person than as a couple.

From what I have seen on the Fraud programmes on the telly, they have some kind of evidence or they wouldn't waste time contacting you.

Maybe it's malicious from someone who thinks they know your circumstances, but I don't think they move in unless they are pretty sure of a result.
:hello:  please play nicely children !

Exactly where do you live ?
Even if your parents do dislike your girlfriend, that is not a reason they would refuse to say you are living at home with them, if it were true.
If your girlfriend has her benefits taken away, no doubt you will be worse off financially, you'll be expected to support her and your child. So if it were true that you're still living at home, your parents would' nt want you put out like this.
I suspect maybe the reason your parents are refusing to go and see the Jobcentre is they don't want to get involved in your schemes now that they have gone wrong.
When programmes have been on television about dhss 'snoopers', they always check arould the house to see if there is evidence of a partner living there.
I think the best advice must be to hold up your hands and say 'fair cop guv'.

    Whoa whoa people??

Whats with the judging - i only asked you for information on the situation - NOT to get invloved in my personal affairs...

Have you guys not got anything better to say?

Here we go again - another one who doesn't want to hear the truth!
  • The only reason your parents wont get involved is if they dont want to help your girlfriend commit fraud.

The fact you dont want them involved seems pretty compelling proof to me you are at it.

As for bills etc they dont really prove he is living there as the stuff in his name will simply be bank statements etc. a bit different if its utility bills or the like.

...In addition to this, you have come to entirely the wrong forum. If you want support about benefits there is a board for that.

I can't believe the condemnation on this thread. What evidence do any of you have that OP is lying?

There is no evidence either way, so please post politely and keep an open mind.
