I think tesco cheap toms are the staple of my diet
ive only ben with tonula a few eeks think most of the points have come from filling in my personal details so i'll get my voucher and then see how it goes. Actually thinking about it its a lot of work for a £12 voucher isn't it?Oh well i'll keep at it.

Bought food for the next two weeks last night for £60 (this included a picture frame that OH managed to slip in there) then we got petrol at £15 (w/ a 5p off voucher) so i'll need aboout £5 for other bits n bobs so i'll add £20 to the savings pot as i normally allocate £50/week for groceries/cat/toiletries

i've picked up a mystery shop for a bank on sat but this has been offset by OH wanting sky sports reinstated so he can watch the tennis open ho hum.

I'm going back to work today after being off since last tues-not looking forward to my inundated inbox.

Have a good day all-hopefully the torrential downpour yesterday wont occur today-that was scarey!!

cheers lemon tree but why cant i seem to keep track of my money??

Ive got some expensive things coming up like getting roots done, going to newcastle on great north run (to chear on OH-i couldn't run a bath!) and going to morrocco eeek. Apparantly i HAVE to go with my mum & sisters as apparantly we've been talking about it for a good year and if i dont go i'll be the bad daughter as its to celebrate my mums 60th. I think i just closed my ears when they were talking about it as i dont really want to go as we dont get on so thre will be fights i know.

im trying to rack my brains to see how i can pay off this cc and go on hols to morocco without chucking it on the cc.

The only way i think i can do it is by paying £450 in sept, £450 in oct £190 from the joint money account in sept & oct (we put £550 each into the joint account but since the mortgage has gone down so much i havn't changed the amount we put in)
So the total from that is £1280 so doable but im going to be skint for a few months, then everything i get paid in nov goes towards the holiday.

Regarding xmas i have a few things from boots from their jan sale, i have my dads bottle of whiskey, we will have £50 in the xmas account and i'll see if i can pick up some cheap stuff from morrocco.

ok i feel better writing things down as i now see what i have to do.
BUT OH wants a new boiler from a couple of quotes the best one is £1440, we need a new cooker as the grill has broken and the fridge that someone gave us 6yrs ago as they were getting a shiney new one is on its last legs. Got a lot more thinking to do to see how to pay for all this without resorting to cc's.

sounds like you've got expensive times ahead.
we've had an expensive week, starting last weekend with all our purchases then. We were suposed to have a carpenter come around today to fit some doors, but he's turned up only to say he can't do it cos his wife is ill and he needs to looks after the kids. Don't get me wrong i'm sympathetic but i have to admit to also being cheesed off that we've got to wait another 2 weeks, as both OH and i have booked leave so we can be here, get sorted and paint the doors, now it's going to be the day before we go away for a week so we're going to be in a state for much longer. Grrrrrrr!

i hate it when that happens lemon tree you just want things to be finished dont you, have you got somewhere to put the doors ours were stacked up in the kitchen for months!!

Thinking about how to pay things off i contacted my council to see if they have any grants for boilers over 15 yrs old-they dont but hey at least i asked!

Im thinking of asking people to give us vouchers for xmas so we can get the cooker & fridge in the january sales without much hassle im just trying to think where the best place would be Currys, Argos?

Answered a few more surveys and reactivated another mystery shop company that i haven't used for ages so hopefully i can make more money with that.

The £190 from the joint acc has gone into the savings pot so total the total for the cc is now only £1047.68 coolio!!Wont be able to add anything to it till the 16th when i get paid as im absolutly skint!Well have £20 to last till weds so i have to be v carefull.

ours are in the living room and we're trying to be tidy without breaking the glazed panels. We've fitted the new fireplace and it looks fab, turns out the reason the storage heater cost us a fortune but didn't give out any heat - the wiring was shot, it's a small miracle we didn't have a fire.
