Hello, am just popping on the computer at my mums. Unfortunately my laptop has died a death. Will not even turn on!. So I am having withdrawel symptons from this site and the other places I haunt. I.e. my on line banking, and my emails!
But I just had to tell you the good news.
Halifax have written to confirm that they will repay twin2 her bank charges! All £1379!!!! of it. So when the overdraft is cleared she will still have over £800. I am so happy that for once one of the battles I have taken up on thier behalf has been successful.
I dont know when I will next be on the site, but I will do my best to find access when i can.
Sewing a little but been busy helping twins with thier cleaning and thier shopping etc this week.
Now I am off to see if I can get my computer fixed.
Maybe by a bottle of wine for tonight to celebrate!.
Been a few other missdemeanours of the twins boyfriends,,, but I will tell you about it all when I am back on line!.
When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.

Well I am back much faster then I ever thought was possible. Dad suggested a small Computer shop in Town, and I went there before I came back home. It was the power pack that had failed. So I bought a new Universal pack, £35. Seems a lot of money, but it has given me my computer back!. YIPEE.

I dont have much time at the moment. I seem to have been on here since 12ish, and again nothing gets done. I have to will myself to go into the other room, where the fire is not on!! And get some sewing done. Its button hole time for the coat!. I have put it off, for about 5 days now!.

I am so happy for you and her. But I really do hope that she's worked out what she's going to do with this money, other than fritter it, and that one of her first priorities will be to repay you all the little loans and nappy purchases you've made, AND give you some petrol money!

I agree with Savy_Sue regarding paying you back. What a relief that you didn't need to buy a new computer and only needed a power pack!

    Perhaps the luck is changing?.
I have asked Twin2 to remember to payback her sister, and that I would appreciate some funds towards the fuel bill that they left me holding. (As everyone on here knows!).
She has had a problem with her BF. He disappeared on Friday, and didnt come back. On Monday she told me he had taken her cashcard and before I managed to persuade her to get the card cancelled, (with the thought of this money coming in!), her Health in Pregnancy Grant, of £190 was paid in, and he withdrew £180 of it. Leaving her with no access to her account, an no money for food etc As previously mentioned. She let me contact the Police, and they came out Yesterday, however she backed down and didnt prosecute. In the end she has forgiven him and let him come back!. I am living, and a few expletives came out of me yesterday at him.! (He reckons that he left his wallet at his friends, and they must have done it! ). And I am a monkeys uncle!. I asked him to explain howcome he stillhad £30 on him then. He said he had got it from his Mums. But I had already been in contact with his mum, who was not in favour of him much, and said he is a light fingered lad!!. What can I do? Twin2 is vunerable, and is going to fall for these types of wise guys, and there i nothing I can do but pick up the peaces,
At least he cannot get hold of her money at the moment, as the machine swallowed the card when he tried to use it again yesterday afternoon. But I fear that she will waste the money on him, and not on the sensible things that they need.
I have to go in a minute or two and get ready to go to a parents meeting for DS at his college. But I want to try and post a picture of my coat I managed to finish about an hour ago. http://http://i962.photobucket.com/albums/ae107/mooloo61/sewingprojects011.jpghttp://http://i962.photobucket.com/albums/ae107/mooloo61/sewingprojects004-1.jpghttp://i962.photobucket.com/albums/ae107/mooloo61/sewingprojects006-1.jpg

I dread to think how much you would have to pay in the shops to purchase a coat looking like that! You should be so proud of your latest achievement.
