Washing is now in the machine. Well first load anyway. I must have put it on the wrong cycle as its been on for hours?
I have chased up CSA, apparantly £288 due to me. Gosh that would be handy to pay the bills with!.
Have tried to order the logs, but company is on answer machine. Hopeing that they will get back to me asap.
Now its time to rethink what I need to do to get everything back on track. Its time to get back onboard with the various challenges etc, and makesure that I am positive and not slipping back into the negative I can tend to slip into especially at this time of year.
I managed to spend time writing my journal/diary when I was away. But most of it is the wish list and the want list.
I try to use holiday time to reflect, and get myself back on line.
I have at least come back pretty rested, and apart from feeling tired and cold, I havent any major catastrophies to deal with.
Someone else took Twin2 to get her crisis loans. Twin 1 has asked me to have DGD soon, and thats fine by me, just not tonight. I will be having an early night. With several heat pads in the bed!. Think the teasmaid shall also be going on. So that I can have a lovely cuppa before I have to get out of bed.
Next its chase up warmfront. See if they can write to my landlord again, and get the things done that were supposed to have been done in the summer. The draughts are terrible and windows are not shutting!.
Time for a cup of tea, and move that washing on again.

Well I have done all the chasing I can for one day. Hopefully I will sort a few of the annomolies out soon.
I just noticed that I have not been receiving any of my Ipoints from my supermarket purchases at all. Infact the only ones I seem to have are from the surveys. No wonder I never get very far. I really will have to track things more carefully.
Trying to find out why. Hopefully I will get some answers. Noticed that I have £7.59 waiting in Trolleycash account too. Needs to be at least £10 to get it out though!.
Wonder what else I have missed over the last year or so? know I used to get quite a few vouchers from this or that. But not been getting them lately? Will have to be on the ball a bit more.
Think I will need to have a place in my date diary to enter and check these things!.
Ah well. Its dinner time now. I am starving!.
Wonder whats on the TV I can then watch. DS is still on his xbox or his computer.
    Hardly seem him all day.!
No answer from the saw mill. Hope they reply soon. I am so cold after having been in hotter climes!

Well I am a bit slow to get going today. I had my teasmaid wake me up at 8.15 today. Although I had been up and down to the loo 3 times in the night. So am not as rested as I would have liked.
Spent the first 40 minutes drinking my tea and writing in my diary.
    Had my shower and dressed.
Was strong and left a note for the butcher on the door, saying I didnt need anything today. Oh I do love his sausages, but at approximately 45p per sausage I think that I have to rein in a bit for a while.
No reply from the sawmill yet.
Reduced to putting the storage heaters on last night. So its quite warm in my bedroom this morning. Of course its giving out heat now, when I am down in the sittingroom, where currently there is no heating. I think I may have to be extravagant and buy some wood from the garage!. So that we can warm up the sittingroom!.
Chased warmfront and they are going to re-write to my landlord and ask him again for permission to do the draughtproofing etc, that I am eligeable for.
The council in error, asked me to reupdate my information, and after having done that a few weeks ago, I rang to check what was up. I am on the list, and 4th on the waiting list for a house in the nearby village. But 4th could still take years.
I love this cottage, but it would be better security if I had a council place. I fear that I could loose a private tenancy too easily.
DS has just surfaced. Said his mate is coming over. (Twin1's ex boyfriend!), can get a bit tricky now as he has a new girlfriend.
I need to get some basic cleaning equipment replaced. But am reluctant to buy things again. The twins have had this and that over the last few weeks, and now my vacuum has also died a death.
Mr T, or Mr A value things?
If I go to Mr T, thats about 15 miles away.
If Igo to Mr A, thats about 30 miles away.
So do I see if I can order on line? would the charges be better for delivery then the amount of petrol. But if I do that then I have to wait for the items another day or so?

DS wants me to take him to Milton Keynes on Thursday, so I am going to hold off on going to the shops today. Will go to Mr A at Milton keynes then. I will also be able to go around the market there, and if I need any accessories for my sewing i may be able to purchase things there. (Like I did the week I went out with my parrots!).
I just had soup for lunch. Made from a soup mix that I had left over from my catering days. So very MSE as its been lying on top of a cupboard at the BF's for a few years. But with a bit of Maggi sauce in it, and its fine!.
So Soup every day for lunch for he next few weeks possibly!.
I did the floor in the front room, and part of the dining room, then realise thatthis afternoon I am going to be sewing. So no point in doing around the sewing machine at the moment.
Saw a sewing machine available on Freecycle, and have sent a message to see if it is still available. I would like to have a couple of spare ones to teach the kids and anyone else who wants lessons, to sew. So fingers crossed that I get a reply.
Meanwhile I will keep my eye out for them as I go about my business.

Well I have confussed myself now, as I have been posting on a few threads. So i will have to re-read what I have and have not written. So I dont repeat myself too much.
Spent the afternoon cutting out handbags. Think its about 6 I have cut out. All in different fabrics, and colourways. Depending on the fabrics I had to hand.
DS and I had a luxury tea tonight. We had lamb cutlets and roast potatoes and parsnips. Also bit of mushy brocolli. I am not sure howmuch the chops cost, because it was chops from the meat pack my Dad bought me from MK market before I went away. Anyway it was a lovely treat to eat lamb.
DS is watching Doctor Who on the TV, so I havent had a look in on whats on, but I have told him he has to be off of it by 9pm so I can watch part two of the living on the breadline programme.
I have changed the curtains in the front room, and its warmer, and its also looking much more together then it was with the landlords curtains. That was very MSE as they were curtains that were lurking in BF's airing cupboard.
Now all I need is to sort out curtains for the door in the kitchen, and a way to keep them up over the door, as thats the door we use all the time. We dont use the front door, so it doesnt matter that the curtain is only on with picture wire over some nails!
Washing from the holiday is now all caught up. Read the meters and I have used 32 units of the day electric and 26 of the night, since yesterday. So that sounds like a lot of units. Problem is as I havent had a bill at the moment I am not sure what the cost of those units are? Better go and see if I can find some information somewhere.

Yipee, I have just had an email to say that I can collect that sewingmachine off of freecycle, at the beginning of next week, when the woman is back at home.
Perfect for me to teach sewing with! (I hope).

Well I have two minutes, then I must grab my coat and go. Working in the Hospice charity shop today. Looking forward to it but I cannot remember any of the womens names! Apparantly the manager is on holiday. So it may be a strange day for me.
This afternoon I am taking twin2 to change her benefit from Jobseekers, to Income support. I hope that that doesnt mean even more disruptions for them.
Have had an acknowledgement back from her bank, saying that they will be looking into our claim for unfair charges! Fingers crossed. Something that I will have to keep an eye on for her.
Right time has run out. Got to go.
Have agood day everyone. The sun is shining here. Pity I did all the washing/drying yesterday, in the tumbledryer!!! (Didnt want washing hanging around the cottage!). Mmmm

  • Glad you had a good holiday, hope things get sorted with Warmfront soon.
