Didnt know that one either! Mind you DS is useless at telling me things.!
Just asked him what the paperwork was that he recieved from EMA and he just said, some form and I havent really looked at it. (it now is currently on his bedroom floor!)
Decided to do a Mr A delivery for shopping, and have few things for the freezer etc when I get back. So delivery is tomorrow afternoon, and I thought that it was reasonable as the nearest Mr A, is over 30miles away.
While doing shopping I did my hair roots. (Yes sorry fans the grey is showing and I want to have any holiday snaps without the Zebra marks!!)When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Well I spent hours ironing things and then decided I didnt want them. Packed and repacked as you do. I was finally finished by around 7.30! Made a beef casserole/ish in the pressurecooker. DS came down and sat huddled up in the blanket we use as a throw in the frontroom. He is still huddled up there today.
Food delivery was sorted for today. So he has all the snacky meals he likes! and can do.
Biggest of Mooloo's rang, she has also succombed to the flu/cold bug now. We are hoping we dont get it, as we are off on our break on Sunday morning.
I am now here in Oxford, helping sort out the rest of the packing. Etc. They think my suitcase is a bit small. But I am becoming a bit more of a seasoned traveller and know that I have plent in there to take me through the week.
Hair roots were a success, but I am finding it a lot harder to do with my arm. May have to start asking the girls to help me. (or stop doing my hair!!).
So its the start of my holiday for me, relax time and let BF do the driving, worrying etc etc.
Hope everyone is well, and that nothing major upsets the applecart for anyone while I am away.

Well I didnt expect to be on the computer this morning. But I came on to Google the map for the hotel. (Thought BF would have done that, he seems to plan everything with a military air normally). Anyway I have written down the instructions. Just hope tht I havent got it wrong and can read the road signs when we arrive!. Its not a place I have been to before, although I have been to the area before. Always looks different when you go back though, as the roads etc are always changing. BF tends to get a bit het up, and its already starting now. This is where I need the patience of a saint, to get me through them arguing over the packing, who has what colour suitcase, who has washed/ironed what, and when the actually deed is going to be done. From then its where this is that is, and if something goes out of the routine, BF stresses. Only time I really see him stress is planning/and actually getting to and from holiday desitinations. Most tense time and the most we have ever argued. Now learing to be "dumb" blonde in the corner, as my opinion is never welcomed. Often means that I actually know what to do to alter something but I dare not say a word or my head is bitten off. (Bit of that going on now between BF and his eldest son.!!) Keep my head down and let them get on with it. Even though I would like to tell Eldest to grow up, stop answering his Dad back, and get some manners!! Of course I am not in a position to do it. So I have to bite my tongue.
Think I will go and have a read of my book, Biggest of Mooloo has lent me a Jill Mansell book to read. All I have to do is to makesure that I have the best shoes on my feet for travelling. With the ones that I have here!. Easy peasy.
Suitcase only weighs 9.5K, so am well under weight. The hand case(with my handbag inside it), only weighs 5.9k so I am sorted!. I can even manage to pull that with my right arm one balanced ontop of the other. So I wont be a maiden in destress with my bags.
I will try and take some photos to post on here when I get back. If I can work out BF's camera!.When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
p.s. I even have the small frying pan packed, so we can make the pancakes!! Oh and some silicone cake shapes, so I can make a pudding! and cookie cutters!. Customs and exise will think I am a nutter if they go through my bag. The mandatory teabags, and the currypowder and mixed herbs. Then I can make most meals a bit better then just grilled/fried, and threw in a couple of MrT. instant whip packets, at 2p each when I got them. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0

HI everyone. I am back!.
Brr its cold in the cottage. DS hasnt been here much, and so nothing been on heat wise while I have been gone. Need logs. Which is next on the agenda.
Cleared up the kitchen mess. From DS's last few days here. Boys are messy!. Made him clear up space in the shed, so I can get the logs delivered. Just checking the bank balance and make sure there is enough money left.
Managed to keep spending to the Euros allotted. (Flight money back from BF),.So BF paid for the holiday. I just had to use my money for food and drink. Oh and I paid the petrol for the car he hired. (So I got off lightly really).
We had a lovely time. Well most of it, we did have a bit of a problem between me and his offspring. When I told them not to speak to their dad the way they were. Stroppy sulks etc
The times BF and I were on our own it was lovely. The times with his kids, I found I had to struggle to keep my mouth shut.! So I have decided that I will not go on holidays with his family again. I think that I am just not ever going to be accepted properly by them. But I stand by what I said, and I was lucky that this time BF didnt react badly, and we didnt fall out!.
The weather was changeable, but it was glorious most of the time. I got a lovely sun tan! Managed to read 2 and 1/2 books.
Swam about 4 times.
The appartments were very nice, and comfortable.
Managed to find a Lidl in Albufeira, and bought the main shopping for the week, around £70. Mind you I left behind a lot of stuff we didnt use in the end.
I managed to produce some good meals so I was happy with all of that.
The good news is that I have a reasonably good stock of food in the freezer so I dont have to spend today.
Now I better get the phone number for the logs!. Need to get the washing started too!.When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0
