I still have to drive him to the nearest town to get the bus, and then he has to get two that cost us £10 one way. So the fuel is cheaper, by half. I have to go and get him, or he has to wait at a friends, or my eldest daughters until I go for him.
There is no transport to the village except one bus on a Friday morning to Banbury.
This is why Dad has helped me financially this week, While we wait for the parts to arrive for the bike, and hope that we have the right parts to fix it.!
Social Services have been told of this incident incase Twin1 or even twin2 get any more problems from her. Twins have both been told that the things thier "friend" is saying to thier Mummy is not good, and that they must be careful as this is not acceptable behaviour. But my Parrots told the police, that they will say yes, and the next week have forgotten it all.
Just waiting to hear from my eldest daughter to tell me if DS has arrived at her house yet and if she will have time to bring him home, or I will have to forgo my diner/bath and get dressed and go out again. (Hopefully I wont have to do that, but I feel a bit better so woud probably be able to drive safely enough now). When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -

Would it be possible for him to stay with Biggest a couple of nights a week just as a temporary measure ? Kip on the floor of her sitting room or kitchen ?
Could he talk to his Connections person about his travel problems, they may have a solution.
Could he talk to someone at college and find out if there's a special hardship fund for help with travel costs ?
HTH.....................I'm smiling because I have no idea what's going on ...:)

Mooloo no wonder you collapsed, that is stress in 'another league'!
I hope the police take it all seriously and if you feel the twins are under threat of harrassment or worse then make sure you quote the latest case of the mother and her disabled daughter who were harrassed so badly (and the police let them down) that she took their lives. The police are admitting they failed them and that they will learn from it well make sure they use that new found knowledge by putting something in action to protect you all from this vile person.
Take care0 -
Mooloo I am so sorry to hear what you are going through. Don't you have to keep a log of when these telephone calls and messages are being received?0

I really think that you need to call the college and find out if there is some financial help available to your son for travel costs. You may be surprised to find out that there are funds for all sorts of things.
Please don't let those texts upset you. I agree that they are very serious and the police need to be told and hopefully find and deal with (what ever that means in todays society) this immature girl. I guess you just have to tell yourself that she has maybe been deprived love and a true mothering relationship, yet she see's that you are still helping your girls, even though they aren't with you. Maybe there is some jealousy there? I suppose you could even look on in sympathy for her to behave like that..... not that you need to show it! Take good care of yourself. x0 -
Well I have had my bath, tried to read a book, but I still getting quite teary.
DS is able to get mileage but I dont know when or how his benefits will come through. I will get DS to ask, and I will ring his connextions person, and see if they can help. Thanks.
Financially I will get there. I always do, one way or another.
Just feel that at the moment, anything I have to do is an effort.
The what next, feeling is the problem.
I dont fear as much now, as rationalisation has calmed me down. But this morning I couldnt even stand up, I literally fell to the floor in a heap practically screaming at my mum that I couldnt take any more, as the messages were coming in as fast as I had read one, the other was ding donging its way into the in box. Then the phone started to ring. I thought that I was in the middle of a nightmare, and at that moment didnt think it was going to stop.
This girl was a bully at school. What can she do as an adult? She mixes with some low life thats for sure. I just hope that the police manage to restrain her some how, and that my girls are protected from her as best as possible.
I will eventually get my act together and sort myself out. But I really dont feel up to it today. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Hi Mooloo I found this on the Northampton collage website
All Further Education is free for the whole of the course to students who are under the age of 19 on the 31st August of the year their course starts. Students over the age of 19 on that date will be required to pay a course fee, and the relevant registration fee associated with the qualification. (For details please contact Student Services at the College).
However, students in receipt of certain State Benefits may qualify for fee remission. For further information, contact Student Services.
To assist students who are suffering financial hardship, the College administers the following Learner Support Funds, provided by the Government.
Education Maintenance Allowances (Ema)
Students who are eligible to receive EMAs may register on a full time FE programme with the College and subject to a full attendance, will receive their allowance on a weekly basis. Income from EMAs will be taken into consideration when calculating the value of other Learner Support Funds.
Access Awards
The Access Fund is available to all full time students once they have been accepted on a course, and can be used to meet the costs of transport, course fees, equipment costs or general living expenses. Application forms are available from Student Services and completed forms, together with the evidence of the student’s, or their parent’s financial position, should be returned at the earliest opportunity. An assessment of disposable income is made, and an Access Award may be made, based on this figure.
Residential Bursaries
The Learning + Skills Council has made funds available to support Further Education students who need to become resident at the College, and all students wishing to take advantage of these awards must apply to the Assessment Body. Any student who has accepted a place on a full time course and indicated that they wish to become resident may apply for a Bursary. Application forms are available from Student Services and completed forms, together with the evidence of the student’s, or their parent’s, financial position should be returned at the earliest opportunity. An assessment of disposable income is made, and a Bursary may be awarded based on this figure. For students who live outside Northamptonshire, these bursaries are only available if an equivalent course is not available at their local college.
Childcare Support
Limited funds are available to subsidise the cost of Childcare which is necessary to enable the student to attend College. The Childcare must be provided by a Registered Childminder and evidence of this will be required.
Trust Bursaries
The College enjoys the benefit of an independent Charitable Trust which assist students who are experiencing financial difficulties to attend Moulton College. Although funds are limited, the trustees are willing to consider applications for an award from any student following a Further Education course.
Loans
Career Development Loans are available providing the course being followed is job related.
Further information may be obtained from any branch of Barclays, the Co-operative or Clydesdale Banks, or by ringing FREEPHONE 0800 585505.0 -
Thays great advice from Lolababy.
DS needs to go into college tomorrow and tell them how hard it is financially at the moment and they should be able to authorise handing him some cash until money that you have applied for comes through.0 -
Oh thanks Lolababy.
DS has applied for EMA, we are awaiting the results. Meanwhile the Child Benefit has stopped, and so has the CSA. I will have to chase them up again. There is just so much to do. I feel as if I am bombarded with things, and at the moment its just all too much for me to do.
I did ask Social Services for help, but as I said before, they said go to welfare rights or my doctor. I am going to the doctor tomorrow. I will have to leave a note on the door for E-on, they are supposed to be coming tomorrow, between 8am 0 1pm to install a new meter. I forgot that when i was looking for a doctors appointment. The meter will have to be done another day, if they dont come first thing. But I really dont care about the change of a meter.
My landlord has rung to tell me the chimney sweep is now coming a week on Saturday, probably early in the morning. So must clear out all my sewingstuff so he can do the fireplace in there. Dont want my materials, covered in soot.!!
Lolababy I will investigate the financial helps in a day or so, I really dont feel up to taking anything else on this week. I will have to take each day as it happens. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0
