wheat bag will go on, as I come out of bath, and take it into bed with me.When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0

Morning,
I actually did my first post on 50p a day site!. As I had posted on there yesterday, and just needed to update things.
I am starting this morning on a more positive note, after listening to my Paul McKenna CD as I went to sleep last night.
I am determined to focus better today.
I have decided that as I really cant do dark and gloomy the lights will just have to go on in the sittingroom, and the daylight bulbs are helping to keep me cheery.(ish).
I have put the Mr T, cheapy fleece on my Knee, and have a cup of tea to hand. GMTV and Martin Lewis on the TV. Sorted! When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
I wonder if it's a condition of the Working Links scheme that a business account has to be set up ?
Obviously earned income will need to be declared - but that does NOT include income from selling your own possessions on Ebay! You've had good advice about that, and there's a whole Ebay board too, sorry I'm on a netbook so not going to go and find the link.
BTW, we do a little bit of selling clothes on Ebay at work (charity) and with the right clothes we do well. The brands you mentioned are good ones to start with - the supermarket designers would not do so well!If he can't himself to the JC, how on earth is he going to get himself a job ? I honestly can't see why you either need or have to take him. Let him sink or swim without your help and he will learn that actions have consequences and hopefully get a grip.
I'm sure some people might think I'm being harsh, but there's no reason why he can't stand on his own feet.
Even with the new car, you can't afford to ferry everyone around mooloo, either from a health or finance point of view!
And this is me in relaxed and mellow mood ...Signature removed for peace of mind0 -
I agree with Errata and Savvy_Sue on this one, tell him to get on his bike and make his own way to the JC. Who does he think he is expecting you to run around after him anyway!
As Sue said, I wouldn't do it for one of mine so I'll be damned if I'd do it for a lad I don't particularly like, especially one who's not exactly suitable BF material for my daughter“You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time.”0 -
...I have put the Mr T, cheapy fleece on my Knee, and have a cup of tea to hand....
When it's a bit cooler, you may want to try putting a folded blanket under your feet to block any chill from the floor, and also one to sit on that you can wrap around from your back to your front (tucking your kidneys in!) as this will keep your back a bit warmer when sitting sewing.
Also, try & get up every 30 minutes to walk around (even if only to the kettle or bathroom), as this helps your circulation & gets you warmed up again. I think it's the same advice given to the elderly in winter!
I've been looking for spangly jeans for you to make into bags, but can't find any up here. Will keep looking....how long does it take to make a bag? I guess you will need to keep a tally of "mooloofacturing" time, so you can get a reasonable idea of your costs.0 -
I don't think you're being harsh, I'm with you all the way! Crikey, I don't think I'd run round like this after one of my own sons, let alone their Significant Other!...
I agree - I think if you keep doing for some people, they will keep expecting it.
And twin's BF is expecting a lot too much.0 -
Well now that I have said I will do it tomorrow, I will, but I will tell him that he will need to find alternative ways of getting to these places, or tell them they will have to change the times of the appointments. Unfortunately there is no transport that early and its over 20 miles. So he cannot exactly walk it. I will try harder not to run around after others. I suppose I am really doing it for my daughters benefit rather then for him.
DS is due to come home today. (Hes been in Oxford). He has his induction day at Northampton College tomorrow afternoon.! So that is a way forward.
With the working side of things. There has been so many ideas, and I am going to have a go at them, and work out what I find the easier to make, then put them on to Etsy and see if they will sell.
RE Ebay, I have just been such a chicken about it.
I shall gather a pile of things together, and get help to photograph them, and then catalogue them, and get them out there.
Re earning money on surveys, I do do surveys, but I think I am on the wrong sites as I seem to amass either tickets to prizes (which I never win), or points I never seem to see. I seem to get half way through a survey and get told I am not suitable for it!! When you spend 20 minutes or so, and it doesnt seem to be getting me anywhere I wonder why I am doing it?
Then I spend far too much time on here, reading advise, looking for answers and then anohter day has flown by!!!
I really am struggling to come to terms with what I can do, what I cant do, and being at home on my own so much!! I suppose I have too much time to think!!
So I better get myself moving.
Today I have been out, and checked up on my parents house for them, and had a lot of communication with BF, as I havent been over there, as originally planned for this week. (Which I think he is a bit peeved at me for). I have done two loads of washing and got them out on the line.
I have a beef bones, stock on at the moment.
After lunch I am going to organise the fabrics etc that I do have and I am going to see what things I can make with what I have, and then I am going to try and do a "time map" so I can set times aside for sewing. If I dont do this I will never start!!
Then all of you can definitely moan at me, and tell me to buck up my ideas and get a grip girl! I give you permission to remind me that I am not on the scrap heap yet, dispite my spine thinking it is!!!
Catch up later, I really must get on.When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Oh, if its not one thing its another.
BF and I have just had a major bluey over the phone. I have a timeshare property in Portugal that I have had for 22 years. It is becoming more expensive to pay the maintenance fees, and I need to try to Rent out the Appartments to cover the maintenance this October as I cannot afford it.
As all of you know I am a bit broke at the moment.
Ideally I need to be able to find someone in a few Days, possibly a golfer and friends but where do I start?
Thought BF and I were going to take his family there this year, but it doesnt look like he now wants to go, so I will be paying nearly £1,000 out and not even get to use it> (Struggling to find the £1000, well I think its a bitless then that depends on the cost of the Euro at the time I manage to pay.).
I cannot space bank it, as I have to pay the rent before they will let me do that.
I have done an advert, and my daughter has turned it into a pdf file, but I dont know where to advertise it? With such short notice.
Any ideas?:eek:When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Ebay ? Or surrender it to the Timeshare Company ?.................
....I'm smiling because I have no idea what's going on ...:)
