When my local HA modernise empty properties they put curtain rails up in all rooms, yours might do the same - worth enquiring.
But everything is worth checking of course.!
The viewers are here and I didnt finish the house! But the kitchen is squeeky clean.!When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Well the viewing has been and gone. Get impression they are not interested as the council tax is £1400 a year.
I am struggling with my back and my arm/neck now from blitzing. But at least the kitchen and bathroom look very good even if I say so myself. Now DS will be on pain of death if he messes them up!
I am now waiting for the phonecall from the Debt Councilling people for Twin1's things. Lets hope I can get some constructive advise. But I still think that we are barking up the wrong tree, as I cannot see how she can live on £92 a fortnight with household bills to cover.
This morning I have asked the nursery if we can change DGD's day next week, so we can go and see DGS1 for his birthday. They will let me know where there is a day available.
Time to relax till the call comes in, and until its time to go and get DGD. (Along with a chippy for tea! cos I am too tired to cook now!).When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Debt councilling people been on the phone. Very lovely and helpful person. Redcced my stress levels at least. Now I know where I am going to have to deal with things etc. Also has given me a bit more of the insite as to what is legal and not legal to do.
Right that, alas is my day off finished. Its time to go and collect DGD from her day at Nursery, and her Mum, and DS if the bus is on time, and my last luxury now, a take away, as already mentioned!.When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
The electric company is due to cut the village off from 9am till 4pm so we are off to stay the day with my parents.
Last night was a nightmare, I had to fill up with petrol, and left the family in the car, (and my lights on!), and came back to a flat battery, as the car wouldnt start. I didnt have any Jumpleads and had to call my dad out. (None for sale in the garage, and mine are in oxford with BF!).
So we got tired and cold, and had to push the car off of the forecourt out of the way before we could get it started.
I never got around to breakdown cover. Well I have now. Via Quidco, I have joined greenflag. £55.65 but hopefully with £20 cash back eventually.
The day before I ordered some things for christmas off of the Cath Kidston site and did that via quidco, getting 5% cashback, only to get an email today telling me that with a code XMCD I can get 15% off today only !How frustrating is that!!!!!
It has cost me £40 today to pay for the busfares for twin1 for today and tomorrow to go to college, and To put more electric on her meter! I am going to get to the bottom of who is her supplier and makesure she is on a Social tarriff. This is rediculous.
(Hate to know what my electric bill is going to be.).
Right I better get gathered up, and ready to go to my folks for the day. And wipe DGD's face as she is covered in chocolate from her pain au chocolat!!! oops.
Hugs to all.
Molly was kept in over night again, havent heard from her yet. I will update when I know more.
(At my parents or this evening).
Time to go and close down electric stuff. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Well thats another day where I am exhuasted.!
We went to MK in the morning, and I managed to buy a few christmas gifts and my mascara, I have wanted/liked/needed for a while now.
But DGD was not that good, and tested our patience after we had let her have a go on the christmas carousel, she played up so much. I had to sit her on a naughty spot near a piller and get her to calm down.
We spent the afternoon back at my parents, and my dad was trying to help me sort out a problem on the laptop but it didnt happen. My poor mum tried to entertain DGD and she was a demanding little so and so, and caused me quite a bit of stress today. She was rude, she was agressive with me, and she was so stubborn!.
I was relieved that DS finally arrived off of the bus and came to my parents so we could come home. The electric company is still working out there in the dark by the telegraphpole just round the corner. So I hope we do not loose electric any further tonight.
Had passed a few text messages with Molly today. She is fed up, still waiting for her treatment, and is going to have to stay in another night. She said they are very disorganised in the JR. She also said that its her sons birthday tomorrow, and that she has never missed one of her childrens birthdays before, (and this is the youngers, who is around 13 or 14 I think?). Cannot remember, sorry Molly. YOu know my brain is addled.
Edit, She has discharged herself and is on her way home, with hubby by her side. Bless her she was getting very frustrated and depressed.
Tonight DS was looking for the tomato sauce, and I couldnt remember the word for the fridge and said " err um, its in the, in the, cold thing! How bad was that!.
DGD is tired and I am hoping that she will sleep well tonight. She wet the bed last night but I know why. Mummy didnt insist she stay on the loo until she had done a wee.! and she had had a drink late after our being stuck when the car brokedown.
Hopefully we will not have the same problem again tonight.
I had a call from the health visitor asking how we are, then when I got home there is a request for the LACs review on the 9th. so thats why she is suddenly interested in us. Havent seen her since about July!! Oh well we will be in a different district soon, so it will be yet another one anyway.
Still no sign of the funds for the petrol charges. Tomorrow I will draw up the next invoice, and I will sort out a rather sturn letter to the head of the Childrens department as I have had enough of it being ignored, or delayed etc. £1,068 is a massive amount of money to be holding back on.
Not sure if I can keep my eyes open much longer. I am so tired. I am going to be going to bed at the same time as DGD tonight me thinks!
Now I better text Molly and see how she is doing now, she was threatening to discharge herself earlier. Not such a good idea, but I really do not blame her. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
So lovely to be home and catch up with Mooloo and all my friends on MSE. Thank you so much for all your kind wishes. I got very upset earlier as there were lots of organisational issues (or c0ck ups) with my care but I can forget about it until tomorrow - i am going to write a letter to the consultant:( Anyway its my DS birthday and just to see his face when I walked through the door was worth all the hassle. Again my thanks for the support xxI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -
Best of luck Molly and hope they get you sorted.
Hope your electric is back on Mooloo. It never rains, but it pours!0 -

We were lucky and the electric didnt go off again, so we were not in any great hardship except that the house was freezing cold when we got in.
I am not able to use the open fire, as for some reason it smokes out the dinning room. Must get back on to the landlord. Especially as we are in the midst of the winter already. (Well here its just -3C and a very hard frost.
Brr it was cold going out at 7am. But we are back home now, and I am hoping that I can make do etc until tomorrow now, and not venture out.
I suppose that is a bit of a risk, as the milk supply is very low. But I do have powdered milk if there is a crisis, and 8 baguettes in the freezer. (But not much else compared to normal) trying to run things down before we move.
The packets and tins are still very well stocked! So we should be ok, if we do get snowed in, as long as we keep the electric.
I am restless in waiting for the new move date! Fed up of showing strangers around the cottage already.! The lady the daybefore yesterday was quite rude to the estate agent, and when she emailed me to ask for yet more viewings next week, she said that "she was not the sort of tenant we would want". Do they judge on character as well as purse strings then?:D
Right, one of my parcels of fabrics arrived yesterday while I was out, the neighbour has just brought it across. So I will aim to start making the curtains for the new house, (I can get a start, and just do the final hems when we get to the new place), as i measured the windows. Final length depends on the position of the poles.
I cannot remember exactly what other fabric I ordered!:o as my memory is terrible at the moment. But I know I have some lilac gingham to add to some cupcake fabric that I bought quite a while ago, for accessories for DGD's bedroom.
I shall catch up with Molly in some shape or form today, and home her DS gets the birthday she wants for him.
:bdaycake:Happy Birthday, Molly's DS !!When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
