Mooloo I do sympathise with you. One of my kids was an early riser and did not, still does not at 36, need much sleep.
Is she waking up cold? I know a lot of kids throw off the blankets but don't seem to know to pull them back over to get warm again. Also is she hungry? You could try a hot milky drink with honey and I can remember being given hot milk with bread in it before bed. I think they called it pobs.0 -
Then I will ask my Social Worker, the one who is getting me help for myself, to also find out if there are charities or other organisations that could sort the garden to give me a head start.
I'm sure I've heard of schemes whereby young men/women on community service do gardening work for elderly/disabled tenants. There is a sheltered housing scheme near to where I live and the council always cut & strim the residents gardens if they can't manage themselves.
Certainly worth asking for help with this, although as Errata says they should at least have cleared the garden of rubbish , cut the grass and any overgrown hedges back before you actually move in.“You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time.”0 -

Right I have had a cup of tea, hung up some washing on the pole strung up in the utility, and given myself time to come back down to earth!.
I am not sure what wakes her, but it could be the farm vehicles going passed at breakneck speed under her window,or just that she had a bad dream. She does sleep talk, and also if she cannot find her dummy she goes off on one!.
She wasn't cold, and I had left the plugged in radiator on in her room all night. So it was lovely and warm upstairs.Brr down!!
She is sensitive to what is happening around her, and also in a rebelious mood on everything this morning.
I have changed my hormone patch just incase that had something to do with it. A day early. Maybe it was not such a strong patch as it should have been.
She has a runny nose this morning so that probably has a lot to do with it today.
We do wake around 6.30 when DS is here, so maybe her internal clock was just a little fast.
She does go to bed with warm milk. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -

I will ask the lady at the council if this is going to be done, when I get to have the official viewing. I will not stress about it, but I will just keep an eye, and be prepared to ask!.
2nd washing load just finished. Will leave it to hang up/out when the man from the removals has been.
DGD has slowed down a little and is watching the DVD of our holiday.
I better get on with a few more bits. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
YES mine used to be crabby if they were coming down with something.
Also forgot to say that many kids that do not sleep well are also very bright. She may be better when she goes to nursery at three.0 -
It wasn't my daughter that had me up at the crack of dawn this morning... it was me! I'm normally a really late sleeper, given the chance, but not this morning, 6.37am I was up! What's that all about?! I'm reading a fantastic book called Room. Maybe it's got me thinking.0

Oh she is very very bright! She is so aware of everything around her. She goes to Nursery on a Tuesday.
I did start her at a playgroup a couple of weeks ago.Its just starting up again in the next village.Unfortunately at the moment there is only her and another little lad, alas he has autism, and throws tantrums and stresses as he cannot communicate what he wants and the nursery pointed out that she was "different and not herself" when she went to Nursery the following day. She also threw the tantrums when we were out with Molly on Wednesday.
I fear she thinks that as he can do it, so can she!!
I am not sure I will send her again. Not just because of this, but also because we have the move coming up. Then she will be moving to another nursery. If I can find one nearer to me, it would make more sense.
I shall start to look for one asap. I have to give the current Nursery 2 months notice. (why is everythng 2 months notice these days?).
Right I have 20 minutes before the first appointment of the day. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -

I really enjoy reading, but dont often get the opportunity these days!
Maybe I will have to get myself into a routine where i can set aside some time to read. Molly gave me a book last week, but I haven't had a chance to look at it yet.
Only reading I am doing other then on here are DGD's stories! When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Well that's the man from the removals been and gone.
The quote from him verbally was around £600 plus vat, plus insurance, for a normal move, and around £1,000 to pack me up, lock stock and barrell. So they are out of the running!.
Just have 30 minutes now before I go and help twin1. I am taking a couple of binbags of bedlinen and towels with me for her and her sister.
Tomorrow I start decluttering my bedroom. Sewing things and the ironing that has been at the bottom of the pile since last winter!!When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -

Jesus wept where on earth do these people get their prices from, plucked out of thin air??
I know a guy who does removals (Man & Van type) and charges nowhere near that sort of money, more like £250-£300 for straightforward in & out move within the same day. Unfortunately he lives nowhere near you otherwise I'm sure he'd be more than happy to help!
Does your freecycle group have a cafe group too for general discussions? Wonder whether it would be worth asking on there as these type of people often advertise their services to those receiving or buying bulky furniture items with no transport to collect/deliver.“You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time.”0
