Your creations are utterly amazing!! :T I am astounded what you can make, if only I could sew it would be a start.
 :rotfl:
I think that it is a tragidy that schools do not teach sewing properly. It is something that I cannot imagine not being able to do. Although it has been ears since I did much, as I was in a completely different trade and didnt have the time.
If you lived anywhere near me, Iwould gladly teach you.
Infact I am considering what I would need to do to teach, as the Working Links, back to work side of the ESA are trying to get me to work.
As I know that I can only do so much then I have to stop and rest. Teaching seems like the only option I can think of that I could get back into the rat race doing.
Although I really dont want to get back into the rat race. This time when I work, I want to be relaxed and I want to be in control of my hours, and my health.
The idea of selling my craft work, would make me some pin money I hope. But will I be able to earn enough on a regular basis is debateable.?

I have had a lovely weekend. My BF came to see me yesterday after his sailing, an brought some wine with him which we had with our evening meal. And beyond.
I made a turkey satay with peanut sauce from a mix that I had from approved foods, and some savoury rice mix too. It all went down very well.
I was pleased with the way the cottage looked, and am enthusiastic about the cottage becoming a home. I thought that it would take me a lot longer to do it then I have. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -

Maybe you could advertise in your local shops, for willing pupils? All those people who haven't yet stepped out of the rat race need to be shown how to do the things that you know, such as sewing, knitting and making new from old.

Unfortunately there are no shops in this village, or the next few surrounding, so I will have to think further afield. Possibly the town near by.
But I want to brush up my skills, and feel more confident in what I do before I do branch out into teaching others.!
I havent felt quite so positive in a while. But I am not going to run before I can walk. I need to find out as much information before hand as I can.
The sun is shining here today. I have washing on the line. Was a bit of an effort to hang it out. But I managed it.
I think its a cup of tea time, rest my arm for 30 minutes or so, before I clear off the dining room table and start on some creating!.
I have 4 cravats still to master, and I need to adjust the pattern I downloaded as its wrong.
:TThanks to everyone for the encouragement. Instead of panicing and feeling stuck in the village, as I thought I would, I am begining to enjoy the peace, and the fresh air, and the creative juices are flowing!.
I can look foreward to the coffee morning in the village hall tomorrow, and if I need anything from the butchers I have a little money as my son paid me back for the xbox fee the other day.
DS has gone to help the youth coffee shop, leader do a painting job again this week, so he is quite happy at the moment. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
How about Mooloo as a company name?
Instantly recognisable to MSErs who will "know" you and the standard of what you do.
There could be a real niche market for personalised birthday presents, anniversary's , glam Christmas stockings made in sequins etc - no two exactly the same - maybe even made to order."This site is addictive!"

Hi Mooloo does the church or even the village in general have a notice board that people are able to put advertisements up on? Don't forget about word of mouth, if where you live is anything like where I live you mention something to someone (older women seem to be especially good gossips) and by the end of the week half the county appears to know.0

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:I had to laugh at that! Yes there are quite a few older women in the village hall attatched to the church! I am sure a good gossip would be part of thier constitution!.
There is a notice board by the one bus stop (where the once a week bus stops), so I will find out if I am able to advertise there!
I will mull over using Mooloo in a name to "trade" if I do do that. :T:T
I think I will be doing a lot of studying to see what I can do, and what is already out there.
The postman has just arrived with a parcel for me. So I am off to open it.When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
:idea:Oh, I am so excited. I have received a lovely gift of a craft book. It really has got me thinking. I am off to post a thankyou note. At least there is a postbox in the village. Then I am going to attempt to make something inspired by the book.:T:TWhen I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0

I have been so engrossed all day, I cannot believe that its nearly half five!.
I have not created much today. All I have been doing is covering a washing powder box with some fablon and a tassle, and am turning it into a sort of box file, for keeping cards etc in. (Unless I decide to do something else with it).
Dad has transfered some funds into my account from the CSA payments today, so although the car is not drivable at the moment, I have taxed it or the next 6 months. I have also been Surfing the net looking for better insurance deals. But the offer on the table at the moment seems to be the best by far. Girl Power with the ladies in pink!.
DS just rang, he will be home about 8pm. But he has finished the job he was helping on, so the rest of his week is free. mmmmm must get him to blitz his room!!!!When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0
