Have a look at etsy to give you some idea of what's selling and at what price, lots of people on there selling shabby chic stuff made from recycled materials.
.................:)....I'm smiling because I have no idea what's going on ...:)

I would like to Recycle things rather then just make from new. But I will probably have to mix some new, i.e. zips, and other such fastenings

Car boot sales & jumble sales are a good source of fastenings, buttons, trim, fabrics......and not too expensive either :)

I am back from the village hall. Had 3 cups of tea and a scone. There were fewer people in there today, but as I got to the door, I was greeted well. I found it easy to get into a conversation with the people there. They have a wine club every second Thursday. So there are a few things going on in the village, but interestingly enough, most of the people are from surrounding villages and not this one.
I think am keen now to get started, and the study of what I need to do seems to be expanding rapidly.!.

Maybe your village houses the commuters who go elsewhere to work but has historically been the meeting place for surrounding hamlets? And the wine club sounds good fun!

Right, research is taking me ages.!
If I am going to sell things I will need some labels. I have searched high and low for the labels I used to use, and to no avail. Must have got rid of them years ago.
As DS is awy for mst of the week, I may be able to squeeze the food budget to use for some new ones. Wish I could remember where I got them from? Why didnt I keep the information!!!!?????
Re the village,I will go to as many different meetings in the hall, as I can, so that I can get to know people. Even if they are from different villages.

You can get sewn labels (Cash's school label type) on Ebay, maybe you could get them to say something like "MOOLOO - For You"?

How about brown luggage labels with the handwritten info in coloured ink ?
Or get some coloured card and make your own luggage labesl - even cheaper.

I quite like that idea, as then I could use recycled card too. But I was hoping to have a label I could sew in, but I didnt really want a "school" name tape.
