Just had a thought, I know some of the charity shops have to throw away unsuitable stock or dispose of it to recycling as I saw it on the program where the boutique shop owner was going into charity shops and doing them up to help boost sales and interest in them. Can you ask them to keep the buttons for you?

When they throw the stuff out, they actually sell it to a "ragman" for approx 50p a kilo in weight.(that was 2 years ago's prices).
It is then sorted elsewhere, some of the ragmen, sell it on, some take it and wash it,etc before recycling the fabrics to others etc furhter down the line. so it probably would not be possible to ask them to do it. having been a charity shop manager before I became ill, we certainly would not have had time to remove buttons etc. Alas. I used to want to do that, and mend things that had tears etc in. Or wash them if they were good quality but dirty.!!

But I can see where you are coming from.

Oh full of sympathy - Ive got three smelly teenage boys:eek::eek::eek:
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

(Mind you I remember the same things with the twins! and they are girls!)

Its DGD day for Nursery today. I was just sorting out the scrapbook theysent home with her, and Rusty the nursery Soft Toy, Pet. Who spends a week with the child. I had to fill in a page about what we did, and photograph the thing!
I also had to wash it last night as it was down on the farm with her at the weekend.

I just noticed that there is a sponsor form to raise money for theBHF today!!!!!! I didnt see it in her bag.
She has a sponsored sports day, School Olympics and I havent got her any sponsors at all.:o One very red faced granny today!.

I have emailed a couple of family, see if I could put them on? So I will keep the form at home today, and pray I can think of someone I can get to sponsor her!!!:(
I hope that the Nursery will undertand!

Think I am doing something wrong, here I am eating my toast and drinking my tea, while watching a fitness Video!!!:D

Just having a look at it to see if there are some of the exercises that I might be able to tackle, with taking my spondylosis into account!! My tummy muscles really need to be tightened, which is not easy when I am not on the go anymore!. (Well I am on the go, just not the same as I was when at work!).

Lunch time. Cold Pizza and some salad left over from the meal last night.

I have made 3 taggies this morning. Learning as I go.
I have one more cut out. Using a fleece blanket as backing (home DGD doesnt notice I pinched one of her old cot blanket!!). The duvet cover I bought the other week, was £3 in the charity shop. There is a lot of it left to make loads more. So after lunch I have one to definitely finish, then a decision to make as to what I want to do next. Whether to make today a "taggie" day, or to have a go at something different.

I might make a couple of bags for a change, or some cushion covers. looking at what fabrics I have at the moment, leans towards these sort of things. Let you know what I decide to do!
