Hi Shaz, been away for the weekend, went camping in Southampton! Now I know my age and my abilities! I ache all over and feel like I was hit by a bus. But it made a change. Pity it rained heavily in the evening and night last night. But it did mean we ate out instead of cooked by the tent!.

At the moment, I am just looking at things and saying ah yes that would be good. For the pre-ordered things I am looking for somethings with small prints, florals, and also I could do with finding some fleece bits. As I want to experiment with some taggies that someone has suggested, may want, but I dont seem to have enough different textures of fabric.!
I also need buttons! They are so expensive. Even small white shirt buttons are over 5p each! and thats from the market man who is selling off and retiring.!
I shall be cutting them off of things that are stained or not useable!

I am tired, and DGD is due back any time now. We will be having an early night. I hope she will go down with lemonsquash as I forgot to get milk!
The bread I got the otherday DS had. I am not going to drive 8 miles just toget bread and milk/and of course 8 miles back!:o

    Morning all,
Bit stiff this morning. Hope that I can loosen up a bit before the day is out.
Will have to get some shopping in. May do a little top up shop for bread and milk, squash. But then I will need to get a delivery sorted out. The odds and ends are running low.
Although the cupboards still seem full, just not got the things that need to go with each other if you know what I mean.!
I think I need to learn to be a bit more creative again. Slipped out of the habit of late.
No sewing since Thursday, so I need to focus on what I am going to make, still have on order to make, and do a plan of action for the week, or I will be running behind on my aims (as usual!!).

Take care all, hope you all had a good weekend.

Rest time. Had my shower, dressed and dried my hair. Followed some of Flylady and swept and moped the kitchen floor.! Exhausted already. DGD is still not dressed. Didnt have the fight to do it with her! She was in a strop. Decided that I couldnt chase her around the house. Side tracked her on cleaning and will attempt to get her dressed again when my energy level is back!.

Got my Kath Kidston fabric with the boats and lighthouses on. (Only one metre of it, as its expensive, £10 a metre, but there are some things I want to do, Not for the stall, but for my bathroom. so I deserve it!!). Mind you any left over and ofcourse I can use it in my recycling/upcyling and restyling work!!
Bunting has arrived at its destination, so that was quick only posted it on Friday afternoon.
Wonder if I could just clear a space on the table ready for a bit of sewing later. Put the printer away. etc.

Hi Shaz, got the email thanks. You have a reply. Wish I had been in a caravan, but then I can cope with a tent if its near the loos! Especially if it gets me away from the family and the kids hassles.

I have had a row with DS and sort of thrown him out!!
We will see what happens when we both calm down. Had enough of his capers. He really is a typically obnoqutious (spelling?) teenager at the moment. Smelly boys, who think that they are owed something in this world but will not go out and get it themselves!!

Ah well I am not going to worry about it. I cannot take anymore worry onboard.
Aches all over, increased by having to go out to town. Although it is my fault I decided to go to the market to buy the vegetables there, and happened on a charity shop that sells things off at £1 a go. I picked up a Purple Cordrouy size 10 skirt. Brilliant to sew with. I see another cushion coming on.
Managed to pick up some Craft packs in the £ shop. They have buttons, bowms sequins etc in, so they will add to the embelishment of stuff ready to get me off my bum and sewing tomorrow. I will forgo the coffee shop, and have all day to sew, as DGD is in Nursery.

Pizza and garlic bread for tea. Curtousy of the petrol station as I was not in the best of moods and didnt fancy facing Mr T's in a mood!!:o:eek:

  • Just had a thought, I know some of the charity shops have to throw away unsuitable stock or dispose of it to recycling as I saw it on the program where the boutique shop owner was going into charity shops and doing them up to help boost sales and interest in them. Can you ask them to keep the buttons for you?
