Looks like THIS is what you need :D I've seen this company recommended on DVDreviewer and the like so, though I've not used them myself, it seems they are legit.

Re the numb arm etc, this has been nagging me. My dad complained of similar symptoms on and off for several months - turned out he was having TIAs. That was 10 years ago and, following treatment, he's still going strong (75 this year), but he had put it down to leaning on his desk at a funny angle. I'm not trying to make you worry but it's worth getting it double checked, it may well be linked to existing conditions as you believe but then again it may not.

    Hello Daska,
    Thanks for the links.
I shall sort out whats left in the finances pot and probably order one of those later on today. Thanks very much. I am not very good at searching for things on the internet.! Dont know why but I get some very strange links when I try. Must be using the wrong search engine!.

With reference to the TIA, am not sure but will talk to the doctor anyway. I need to make an appointment to see him as I am a little worried that my spondylosis is getting worse. But it could be several things really!. However I had my blood tested a fortnight ago, and it was all OK. and my bloodpressure had reduced to within Normal settings.
I shall phone up the surgery for an appointment for tomorrow if I can get one. DGD has her mum here to help care for her tomorrow, and DS is around now, which is both a help and a hinderance! :rotfl:

I didnt get back on the laptop yesterday and DS had commandered it.
I enjoyed taking my friend to the hospital, well the time we had afterwards. We took a few hours out of the day and went to MK shopping centre. I took it very easy and we had a wonderaround, with a stop for a brunch.
I even had a bit of a skincare lesson on one of those sections in the big JLewis shop. Had some indulgence time.

In the evening I went to do some Mr T shopping, and got the BF of twin2 to carry a new Microwave into the trolley then the car for me. I just bought a Mr T basic one, but I really miss my microwave and decided that it was a spend that was necessary.!
My ESA comes in on Thursday, so we can rejig the budget a bit. the cupboards are full of weird and wonderful packets and tins, so we will just rethink the menu plan for a few days, and recoupe the spends further down the line.

DS was looking at Sofa Beds, so he is thinking of staying home now. Although he still needs to sort out the debacle in Oxford.
His passport and everything were left there!. So he has hardly anything at all. Its got to be sorted out.
Oh and he will have to save up for a sofa bed himself!.
    Now that will be interesting!.;)

I have managed to get an appointment at the Triage session in the doctors this morning, so my plans are changed, but I will hopefully still meet up with Molly later today. Had hoped for one tomorrow when Twin1 was here to care for DGD but no appointments left till Friday, and I dont think I should be waiting.
Better get my body moving off of the chair, and get my shower.

I believe Twin2 has managed to leave for the bus. Lets hope she manages it. Even if it was a lot of prompting and a No I will not take you! at 6.45 this morning!.

    Hello, I am back
the doctor did a neurological test on me. Seems happy enough with things although my blood pressure is back up, 163/103. Have to call him to let him know if anything changes. So I am probably just stressed!.
Well we all know that stress is a big part of it.
Twin2 managed to go and see the boys dispite her earlier plea for help at 6.45 this morning. However the bank of Mum was required once more for the bus fair for her BF who has to go to the signing on meeting and she had gone on and taken all the money with her!.
Anyway hoping to see Molly this afternoon.

Well it was good to see Molly tday. We chatted for hours!. I showed her the scented bags that I made last night, and the oven glove that I have started to make. So now I must get around to finishing it, and starting something else. To make sure that I keep up with making things. I want to have a stock of things to do a stall or something. My mission is to get myself motivated and doing thngs with all the fabrics that I have already got. And the clothes etc that need restyling etc etc. Maybe get my Etsy site back running again. Nothing has been done since I had DGD come to stay.! My dreams were squashed with all of my family and thier demands.
Right must bring in the washing thats still out on the line.! oops nearly forgot it.!

The Passport is the property of the government. Passport theft must be reported to the IPS and should to be reported to the police. He may be able to use that as a bit of leverage to get his own property back. :D

Hello Weezl didnt realise you lurked around on this one! You are so busy on all of your marvelous threads, websites and blogs!
I cannot keep up with it all. I will have to try harder!

Just trying to build a blogg, but I really am finding it hard to do. Thought that I might get my inspiration back for my sewing etc however already tonight I have done far too much, just sitting at the lap top, and the arm is now shouting at me to stop! So I better obey it!.

Tomorrow I am going to have my hair cut at a reduced price as a Model for a famous named salons trainee! Lets hope that I am transformed into a "glamourous" granny once more!.

Well I pushed myself a little and made the bias binding and finished my Oven glove I'd started the night before. It pushed me to stay up and it was 10.30 when I had finished it. (It was nearly 9 when I started it).
Yesterday DGD was a really naughty little girl, and this morning she has also woken up in the "No" mode. I can hear her Mum struggling with her. But Mum is trying and doing well.
I am in my room taking my time out as best as I can. Getting to indulge myself with a little GMTV and a mooch around the webb. However I am getting a little uncomfortable with the laptop on my knee and think that its time for me to make a move.
This morning, as far as I know there is nothing I am supposed to be doing. I know that there is a core meeting for twin2 today but i am not invited. I have spoken to her this morning and told her to be more proactive with the meetings and to makesure that she reminds them that they had given the boys into thier care voluntarily, and that the SS need to be working with her to get the boys back!. We can hope can't we.
This afternoon I am having my hair done. I have no idea what style its going to be, I am leaving that in the hands of the stylist. As long as I am not going to come out looking rediculous. I want a style that is reasonably easy to maintain, now that I cannot keep my arms up long enough to put it up etc etc. So its probably back to a short style.!

Well I am taking the bull by the horns and have found a day nursery that will possibly take DGD for me. We are going to take a look at in the morning on friday. However as I am being paid by the council as a foster carer, the government will not help me with childcare costs, so I will have to foot the bill out of the money I am getting. So things are not so rosey afterall. At £32 a day, and an upfront all year round bill plus £55 registration fee. I am looking at a huge hole in the funds we have coming in. But DGD really needs to be mixing and playing with other children and I need to be getting some Me Time, and sewing time properly sorted out.
I have tried to get hold of our Social Worker, but we are still "awaiting assignment" and then I will need to badger the council for funding no doubt. But thats easier said then done isnt it. So another fight on my hands then. (If she was my own child then I could get up to 80% of the costs back! )
as long as I claimed Child tax credits of course. But as a "foster Carer" I am not allowed either the childtax credits or the child benefit, or the healthy start vouchers etc .
I am not sure if the Fostering Allowance compensates enough for all of these factors at all. I think we are getting a raw deal. But maybe I am wrong.
Perhaps I should count how lucky we are to still be a family, and that DGD and her Mum get a lot of quality time together. Something that twin2 and her boys are being denied at the moment.

Right, my positive thinking hat must come back on. I need to think about the benefits of spending another £191 this month!.
And every other month at £136 for one days peace and quiet around the place, and knowledge in her safety and my being able to do the things I need to do or want to do, while she is having fun with other children.

Onwards and upwards. Twin1 has called me to say lunch is ready. Early lunch as we are going out later.

Mooloo, have you thought about trying to find an advocacy service that could help Twin 2 in her dealings with SS. As I understand it, the idea is that an "advocate" is like a trusted friend who can help someone to deal with the authorities , and get their point of view across effectively.

I found this organisation "Advocacy Alliance" which provides advocates for people with learning difficulties in Northamptonshire.

    www.advocacyalliance.co.uk

    From their website

"Advocacy Alliance is an independent charity offering high quality support to enable people to solve issues and become active members of their local community.”

Working across Bedford Borough, Central Bedfordshire, Luton Borough and Northamptonshire, we deliver a range of advocacy, inclusion and training services.
We provide free and independent support to people, regardless of their status or ability, to have a direct say in the issues that affect their lives. This includes specialist support for people with a learning disability ....."

I dont have any connection to this organisation, and I am sure there are other MSErs who know more about advocacy than me, so I will stand corrected if I am barking up the wrong tree here.
