Jo4, I hope that your Dad is recovering well, and is in good hands. Will pray for him. x

Thank you! Dad got home on Friday afternoon but he has to get a triple bypass and apparently there is a six week waiting list.

I cannot believe the roller coaster you have had yet again. At least now you know the decision made by the sw. I am delighted you can stay in your cottage and have a good nights sleep thanks to your parents.
  • That's lovely of your parents. Congratulations.

So pleased that you had a good weekend. Really glad that your parents are able to help you out. Hopefully we can get together for a cuppa and chat sometime this week x
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

Jo4, I am not sure if this helps, but the kids Dad had a triple heart bypass about 3 years ago, he was about 47 at the time. He was back at work on light duties very soon after, and is back at work full time. Infact he went in for his heart bypass the same day as I had my hysterectomy! Poor kids not sure who they had to see.! Although in the end they stayed with me, and went to him at the weekend!.:D:o
I hope that your Dad will be OK, they seem to be doing these things as a matter of course these days.! Not that that helps you at the moment.!
take care and I will continue to pray for him. x

Thank you! :A Poor kids having to choose. My Mum has just read your post and she said to me isn't that the lady that makes the bags. It just shows how much I talk about you because of being concerned for you. :o

Are you feeling any better today?

Am feeling much better after knowing that I can stay here in the cottage.
I am also a bit more relieved that DGD will be kept within the family if we can. Awaiting contact from the social worker.
I am just off to have my shower, as I have been faffing about on the computer and I should have been doing the jobs too.

Well DGD is still asleep, I should really be waking her for her lunch, but decided that I will leave her a little bit longer and drink my soup. Cheap old Mr S basc cuppa soup, purchased earlier in the year for pennies, from Appr0ved F00ds., along with some crutons that came the same way.
I have ordered another delivery of odds and sodds from them this morning, and will probably have a look at topping up the freezer with a delivery from Mr A soon. I am low on frozen vegetables, which really I could do with to make the money go further, especially once DGD has gone to her auntie.

Been digging out some fabrics to make a handbag for my Mum who is going to a wedding, and I am thinking I would like to make her a chain strap, so I have been rumaging in the wardobe to see if I have any chains on old bags etc, but can't fin one. So I may have to spend some money and either order a chain on line, or go rummaging in the charity shops for one I can doctor from a belt of other handbag!.

I have brought in the wood for the rest of today, (i hope), and I have brought a bucket of compost in, as I may just sew some seeds later this evening. Now that I am planning to stay in the cottage I can start to sort out what I want to plant etc, and start to use the seeds I have already accumalated from freebies.
