in a nutshell your boss is terrified of you - he knows that you could do his job standing on your head and he feels threatened by that hence the sly comments, the personal comments and general undermining of you. Ignore him (its hard i know!) and bask in th fact that you are better than him - oh and if you dont already; smile - it confuses them so much!!!

Sue so sorry to hear you're having a pants time of it
Wel I'm not a happy toaster either. My OH, who it's safe to say has a drinking problem (he went to AA then said he didn't like it cos it was bout god n stuff) - if we go into town shopping he wants to go to the pub for a drink, while I (and most people) are happy to go for a coffee. I kid you not, when I got taken to hospital with my gallstones a couple of years ago and was in complete agony, I asked him to go with me cos I'm afraid of going to hospitals and he spent the whole time complaining becuase it was Saturday night and he wanted to be in the pub. THEN he went out and proceeded to wake me up from my sedative-induced slumber cos he'd left his key at home.
Anyway, I told him about the interview last night and he was very pleased with me, but he got in about half one last nite absolutely p*ssed. Then he woke in the middle of the night to go to toilet and stood in the buff in our fully lit living room window. Then his alarm goes off 2 hrs before mine would have (it's his day off so he didn't need to get up at all) and he wonders why I'm mad?????:mad::mad:
He always seems to do this when I have something big happening the next day. Sorry I'm just having a crisis but really don't know what to do. I was in debt before but it was paid off, I then proceeded to rack up more debt cos I was buying things to get him to stay at home away from the pub. He also wrote cheques to one of these cheque-cashing places on his empty account to get cash for the pub. I really am at my wits end here - I love him but he really does my head in, and every time I want to talk to him about money and saving it, he says I'm having a go at him. What can I do????? (except put arsenic in his next pint???)
Another DH for you :grouphug: - Good Luck today x0 -

Sorry Sue that you are having a tough time but you have been given some excellent advice on here.
Catchcooky you are having tough time too and I am afraid yours is probably only going to get tougher if your OH doesn't want to give up the drink it aint going to happen whatever you do. You have to ask yourself is this how you want to live your life if you love him enough and can put up with it then far enough otherwise you might have to make the decision to leave him. Sorry to be so blunt a dodgy hug for you:grouphug: but this is probably more what it feels like :wall: All the best on the job front.
PAD for me today is £8.10 to the 0% card fund some money from Mystery Shopping.
Have a good day everyone

I can see why this would be getting you down catchooky!
Have you had a look at the support and advice that is available to you, as the partner of an alcoholic? I would think that AA would offer some advice on how to deal with the situation.
I'll have a look and see what I can find. I'm sorry I can't offer anything more constructive than this. But here's a dodgy hug for you :grouphug: ( i just found them! lol)February wins: Theatre tickets0 -
Morning everyone,
Helen - best of look with your DMP, hope it all goes well for you.
Sue - sorry you are having a rubbish time at work. Sounds to me like this bloke is worrying about his job and is taking it out on someone he knows could do it a 100% better than he can. Keep a diary of everything he does that could be deemed as bullying/inappropriate and go and see human resources. You do not go to work to put up with horrible 'poopy heads' like him!
Catchcooky - really sorry you are having a bad time too. You need to think about whether you want to be with an OH like this for the rest of your life, and maybe giving him an ultimatum might make him realise how bad he has got. Don't let yourself stress about it today though, focus on your interview, good luck!Too ashamed to admit how much I owe!!0 -
Completely forgot to PaD! Just £2 from me today. Am away for the weekend now, have set a budget and anything that is left will be Padded on Sunday (back padding for 2 days and caught the bug already... actually don't want to spend too much this weekend so I can make a bigger payment, not like me at all!).
Hope you all have a lovely weekendToo ashamed to admit how much I owe!!0 -
morning all - well sorry but another rant (I know your guys will understand)
Remember earlier in the week I told you about the bonus and the big PAD today etc etc well work have screwed up!!! ARGHHHHH I'm so annoyed! everyone else got paid except me and no-one seems to know why!!!
so a rubbish £3.33 towards halicrap today until I figure out why work are trying to send me into a downwards spiral!!!!!!!
Sorry guys just needed to rantNew surname New start!
