Woooooo I'm at the end! That was a marathon reading session lol, and I'm sure if I ever get a job as a 'customer service assistant' I will know where to go for advice :rotfl:

I'm back in sunny (well, kind of cloudy, but the odd bit of blue sky) Leicestershire now and much as I like going away it is nice to be home! Newcastle was lovely but we went to the metrocentre and there was a sale on in pretty much every single shop, just as well I didn't take my other bank card or there wouldn't be much left of my marking money!

Speaking of marking money, my pad for today is a DT pleasing £256.77 to the credit card and to the overdraft. I still have some left but my car exhaust needs doing so I am leaving it in untill I've had a few quotes for that. As it's my birthday at the end of the month my mum and dad have said they'll give me some money towards it for my birthday but I've a feeling it'll be a couple of hundred at least. Still, it's worth doing, since it's been a bit off I've definitley noticed a difference in the fuel consumption. Last time we went to sunderland and back on half a tank - this time it's took nearly a full one!

Off now to update my siggy (which I will be pretty upset to change in August lol) and get some work done, probably see you all later!

    xx
Ths signature is out of date because I'm too lazy to update it... :o
  • Sorry late posting today with the total.

Interesting to see a post from Brian from Eon here as I had a post from Helena on my diary after I mentioned Eon yesterday they are being very proactive which is good I wonder how many sites they monitor. I wouldn't mind a job doing that if you are listening EON:D. Have to say the customer service I have recieved has been great so hope you get your bill sorted soon Sashanut.

    The total for Sunday was

£607.35 not too bad for a Sunday :beer::beer:

    DTxx

I think that'sz probably one of the best things for customer/company relations that I've come across.
I just wish Abbey and Vodafone would do the same because both are in the process of losing my custom. I'm not someone to whinge about trivia either. I realised recently that headbutting walls (metaphorically speaking) does not make someone understand and act upon that understanding. Like I'm sure they really need my custom. If Abbey don't either
    a) send me the bounced cheque from a customer (so I know which customer wrote it)
    OR
    b) refund the amount of the cheque that they have stolen from my account

by next weekend, I will be writing to their head office to take them to small claims.
If I walked into one of their branches demanding money, they would (rightly) lock me up for it.
    Thieves, thieves, thieves.
    I effing hate Abbey.

My thoughts exactly!! To be honest i hate all banks - they are all out to get as much money from us as possible. If i could i would keep all my money - the little i have - under my matress and never deal with another bank for the rest of my life!! :rotfl::rotfl:

We are in the process of leaving our bank after repeated problems - we wrote to them told them we had had enough, leaving etc... they sent £25 as a 'gesture of goodwill' and they hope we will reconsider. Thanks for the money, but no we're still going :rotfl:

Good for you, I hate banks as well

    Here's my run down
Yorkshire Bank -didn't pay out on loan insurance, their reply to our insurance form was a ccj
Barclays Bank - Flexi overdraft withdrawn cos we moved
Lloyds Bank - DCA straight away with threatening calls
    Halifax - £25 charge for 4p
HSBC - withdrawal od: no notice, withdrawal of buffer zone: no notice, removal of drawing on OH wages cheque (paid in every friday for 10 years) : no notice, all incurring charges
A&L - took DD early, charged £125 in charges :2 weeks of argueing followed, £25 for being £2 under OD limit: promised refund, then eeked it out til the hold went on the bank charges refunds

No experience of Abbey, Natwest

Before you all think I am really terrible, the experience was gained over the last 20 years, so YES they are all Schisters (sp???) :rotfl:

My heart desire is to win the lottery and visit each bank with the cheque and tell them why I will not deposit it with them :T

That's a lot of naughty banks!

I've got to say that I've not had any bad experiences with BOS (apart from putting the APR up on my CC but I BT'd :D)

They charged us once for a DD but the council set it up for the wrong date in 2008 (Had been going out on 15th of every month and they randomly changed it to the 1st!) so we got the charge back, no questions asked and I've not had any trouble with anyone else really, except the company we got the car from but I'm not going to go into that again because I'm still seething about having a great big personal loan when it should have been HP
    Started PADdin' 13/04/09 paid £7486.66 - CC free 02/11/10
Aim for 2011 - pay off car loan £260.00 saved
