    Hi all !!

Just popping in to say my PAD for today is £200 to EGG

Am feeling v.frustrated as just spoke to Lloyds. I have a CC with them with a large credit limit & this month they sent me cc cheques for 0% BT for 6 months. I cleared the card off in order to use the BT facility & wrote one BT cheque, wanted to use the other to pay off Egg to give me 0% on that too. Phoned up just now to do the BT - only to be told that 'NO BT is possible on this account, despite the CL being £14300 & there being only 20p owing. No, we can't tell you why & BTW the cheque you have already written will bounce:eek::eek:'. I asked to be transferred to someone who could tell me what was happening, he was pleasant & gave me a list of excuses why it *could* have happened - none of them relevant, such as missed payments (no), mobile contracts gone bad (no), they take into account all our Lloyds accounts (better than for a very long time!!), he was as stumped as me. Finally he said. well the offer could be withdrawn at any time by our marketing dept - what - issued in Jul, for use in Jul & withdrawn on the 20th??? Finally he said he would get someone to write to me & explain, I won't hold my breath!!

As soon as we get in a position of power (ie, debts paid back) we will leave Lloyds & try our luck elsewhere, although by all accounts they are all bad as each other these days....sorry to rant but I am so mad:mad::mad::mad:

Hope you are all having a better day than me :rotfl:

Terri: Sorry I thought I had reported back about Harry Potter (I think I must have just done it on my diary thread) – it was fab, we loved it!!

Re the free scratchcards – I do them on Chit Chat bingo. I got some really good advice from the Make £10 a Day thread. The trick is:

    (1) Deposit £10
    (2) Play scratchcard for first time and win at least 10p
    (3) Withdraw original £10, leaving 10p winnings in.
    (4) Ignore the bonus money!

I did all of these on the same day and it worked for me.

After this, all you need to do is wait until your balance is at least £10.10, then withdraw £10 – always make sure that your balance is at least 10p.

Hope this helps and good luck!!

Sorry late posting today with the total.

Interesting to see a post from Brian from Eon here as I had a post from Helena on my diary after I mentioned Eon yesterday they are being very proactive which is good I wonder how many sites they monitor. I wouldn't mind a job doing that if you are listening EON:D. Have to say the customer service I have recieved has been great so hope you get your bill sorted soon Sashanut.

    The total for Sunday was

£607.35 not too bad for a Sunday :beer::beer:

I read somewhere that cheques get sent even if you're not eligable for them because the mailing list is updated too slowly or something! So in other words, if you wrote them and they went through...you could end up paying the standard rate for cheques!
