    Morning all

Good luck in the new job catchooky. Well done Flower on the bingo win, lucky you I haven't won anything for ages!!!
Terri hope you had a good weekend with your Dad?

There was a man who had worked all of his life, had saved all of his
money, and was a real miser when it came to his money.

Just before he died, he said to his wife, 'When I die, I want you to
take all my money and put it in the casket with me. I want to take my money to the after life with me.'

And so he got his wife to promise him with all of her heart that when he died, she would put all of the money in the casket with him.

    Well, he died . . .
He was stretched out in the casket, his wife was sitting there in black, and her friend was sitting next to her. When they finished the ceremony, just before the undertakers got ready to close the casket, the wife said, 'Wait, just a minute!'

She had a box with her, she came over with the box and put it in the
    casket.

Then the undertakers locked the casket down, and they rolled it away.

Her friend said, 'I know you weren't fool enough to put all that money in there with your husband.'

The loyal wife replied 'Listen, I can't go back on my word. I promised
him that I was going to put that money in that casket with him.'

'You mean to tell me you put that money in the casket with him !!! ?'

'I sure did' said the wife. 'I got it all together, put it into my
account and wrote him a cheque. If he can cash it, he can spend it.'

When you say 4 meters, do you mean a meter with 4 rates? Like 4 meter readings? Do you know if the meter was a Heatwise meter that is attached to an old electric heating system?

It sounds (with limited info) that E.ON keep estimating meter reads on the 3 rates that are no longer in use.

Did the property have electric heating at some point? Has it been replaced with gas central heating?

    Brian :)

No I mean 4 actual meters - which would mean 4 meter readings. These were in place when we bought this house & are connected to outside equip that is no longer in use. They do indeed keep est these meters as if they are used BIG TIME - when in truth there has been no movement on them at all. I think their problem is that no domestic props have more than 1 meter & they refuse to beleive that we are not some kind of business (a factory??:rotfl:).

I think the prop might have had elec heating as I remember there being skirting type rads here when we moved in (over 10 years ago) but we had those taken out immediately. This saga has been going on for more than 9 months now & I am getting very sick of it, in the meantime we know we will have a big bill to pay when they finally come to some conclusion. BTW my DH rang on Friday when we received the £6500 bill, spoke to someone who told him he would be called back. So far, no-one has rung:confused:

PS, you can Pm me if you need more detailed info!

You have my sympathies Sasahnut - I had the same carry on with EDF and British Gas for over a year and they both blamed each other!!
It finally got sorted but I ended up owing them a large gas bill, which they let me pay off over a year but it still made my DDs high!!! Very annoying and stressful.

    Hi Sashanut,

I see, that'll be the problem then, estimating thinking that this is a business property when it's residential.

Sometimes energy accounts can be set up as business when they should be set up as residential, this can have adverse effects such as incorrect billing, this sounds possible in this case.

As suggested I'll PM you with some further info. :)

    Hi All

Feeling rather tired following a Dr Who marathon last night (OH has bought the box set of the last series - got it at a good price too! :money:). Tonight we are going to see the Harry Potter film (1st time for OH, 2nd time for me!)

sashybo - Sorry to hear that none of your friends remembered your birthday ( my friends forgot mine as well ! ) .... but at least we all remembered you on here ! ... Hope you enjoy yourself at the Glasgow fair ....

Yes, thanks for remembering me here! :j A bit annoyed about them forgetting since I'm usually quite good at remembering their birthdays!

Another 50p to Barclaycard today, hoping to pay a bit more soon as want to get rid of this balance now it's under £100!

Does anyone have any book recommendations? I have lots of points to use on bookmooch and don't know what to get.
