My weight loss for this week is **1 lb **

Bummer of a start to week, OH was checking tyres and I have a nail  trouble is, its very close to the side wall, so means a new tyre at about £70 plus the locking nut snapped, some idgjit put it on with an air gun!!!!! So OH had to bust it to get it off........................so new locking nuts :mad:

Major dilema, DD's college c*cked up and they have had the funding cut for part of their course, so big debate over whether to swap to A levels

We also - & you'll REALLY like this one - had another dual fuel bill from E-on....this time for £6500+:eek::eek: This has been going on for 6 months now, since we switched providers in Oct last year. If I was of a nervous disposition, I would have definitely fainted

    Hi Sashanut,

This must have come as a massive shock. Is this supposed to be for a quarter?

Have you been in contact with E.ON regarding this? Have they told you why a bill like this has been sent?

It's a good idea to start taking your own meter readings and monitoring your usage, that way you know what energy you’re using. The readings may also come in useful when disputing the incorrect bills you are receiving. ;)

I am happy to help with this if you have any questions, so please feel free to ask. I may be able to explain or clarify any points that E.ON are telling you. :)

    Hi Brian!!

Never expected to get an answer from e-on on here :D It's an on-going problem that started when we switched from edf to e-on last year. We've been in touch with them many times - since the first enormous bill was sent, & each time they lay the blame on edf, despite us having our own meter readings showing our usage. The main problem seems to be that we have 4 meters - 3 of which show no usage as the equiment they service is switched off & is no longer in use. This fact they seem unable or unwilling to grasp.....any help most welcome:confused::confused:

  • Morning All,

Not feeling on top form today and hoping it's something that I can shake off on my way in to work. It's really busy at work as so many people have been sent home because of the swine flu outbreak - very over cautious as none are showing any symptoms - but it does mean that it's awful for the rest of us who are working. Hey ho, not a lot can be done apart from trudging on.

I've never called in sick the entire time I've been working and it's a bit of a thing where I'm determined not to - well unless I am really sick and not just a bit under the weather.

PaD for me today of £5.70

Hope everyone else is fine and dandy.

    Hi Sashanut,

When you say 4 meters, do you mean a meter with 4 rates? Like 4 meter readings? Do you know if the meter was a Heatwise meter that is attached to an old electric heating system?

It sounds (with limited info) that E.ON keep estimating meter reads on the 3 rates that are no longer in use.

Did the property have electric heating at some point? Has it been replaced with gas central heating?

    Brian :)
