    Hi jk8

I'm sure he'll find something soon. He's been to two interviews already today and both seemed very interested. DH had a feeling this was going to happy to the company months ago due to being made redundant 7 months prior. So he's been looking for work for a while now. Trouble is no one is in any hurry to employ.

It get 'easier' as got go on jk8. After awhile the treats and letters don't mean anything anymore.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!! I have an overdraft on my current account for approx £1K I was going to close the account but have found out I'm unable to as have a loan linked to it, which goes out of a seperate account. Wasn't sure whether to take that money and put it in a safe place for emergency fund/any F&F's or if to just cancel overdraft facility???

    Evening all,

I have made a payment today to HSBC gold card, its my first reduced payment and it feels nice compared to the £180.00 I used to pay :D its gonna be hard work doing my own DMP as a standing order isnt an option with HSBC as they have agreed reduced payments but these have to be made in line with the statement dates, so will vary a little  however unless otherwise stated everyone else will get their's on the 1st so I can arrange SO for them. I am sure I will get into the swing of things, I have all the spare time in the world, I only work 40 hours a week, have 2 kids and a baby :rotfl:

Hi Eupho hang on in their :T your creditors have to accept eventually, tell them :money: told you so :D

I've checked and I've checked and I definitely posted. I can see it here. But I've not received a hello, a reply, a welcome, a number, or anything. Is it because I'm not going via CCCS? Or am I, indeed, invisible?

Had it just been, say, the number I'd not received, I may have tried PMing. But as I've been totally missed ...

No point me replying to anyone else really if (a) no-one can see me, and (b) no-one knows who I am.

Chill Winston! I did see your post Thurs morning at around 2am, a little worse for wear, and I wasn't going to give you a number until I was back online. Please don't expect a number immediately (It's only been 2 days!), you're allowed to post on here without a number!

Leese, I wasn't aware that you'd asked for a number but here you go, both of you.

    Now leave me alone. :D

    Morning,

I had the same as you, I will be honest I ignored the calls cos I am a wimp, it took most of them a couple of weeks to cash the token payments at which point my calls seem to be less frequent now. I would imagine even if you do call and explain the calls would continue anyway! if you go on national debt helpline they have a list of template letter you can send to creditors, I am sure one of the letters states to stop ringing you as it is harrassment and to contact you via letter only. So the moral of the story is " ignore the calls " and once your DMP is up and running it should start to be less frequent x[/QUOT

I have had a completely different experience, I have answered all of my calls (when it was convienent ... if you know what I mean) and they all stopped as soon as I had spoken to them, I just told them the CCCS was dealing with my account now, gave them my account number and their phone number and they said they would put my account on hold till they had heard from them. I may have just been lucky but I have 10 creditors and all have stopped calling (for now anyway) , :j
I have now started to ring them and ask if they have accepted the CCCS offer and what will happen regarding the intrest, most have accepted up to now and said the intrest will stop once the default is issued, accept city who will be passing it on and barclaycard, who say they havent heard from the CCCS (bloody liars!!) Havent rang lloyds current account yet, summing up the courage to ring my local branch cause I think I might get more joy from them than a call centre

I tried to sort out my mortgage renewal today, spoke to head office who said they couldn't arrange anything as I had a mark against my address(!!!) (I have a DMP'd overdraft with them, and I panicked, thinking I'd been blacklisted!), and to go into a branch to sort it out.

Turns out it was due to stuff being returned undelivered (Where I live there's an 8, 8a, and an 8b, which can get quite complicated. Anyhoo, it's all sorted, and if I go onto their SVR, my mortgage will drop from 6.5%, down to 2.5% Woop! So that will save me a bit, hoping the BoE rate doesn't creep up. I'd like to add it onto my DMP, but I'm worried that if you rate DID go up, I'd have to ask for the money back...
