Hi LMS, hope you and the family are feeling much better.
I had the Swine Flu vaccine yesterday (being involved in "frontline" NHS dentistry! that name I use is more apt than you might think haha!)
Jeez, it's had quite an effect, had to leave Asda earlier, felt really spaced out, sick, and me poor old arm is up like a "bap" When I read the leaflet, it's like, 1 in 10 have side effects! Mine are mild compared to others, but I'm not sure I would have that jab again.
Sorry for whinging when you all have had the awful bug, but I would say to anyone who is offered it, read up first!

Hi ya,
So sorry to hear you are feeling rough after the swine flu jab(, that's the thing about vaccinations, often there are some side effects to deal with.
Hope it passes quickly. There's no news about swine flu here, (I'm in London), I think every borough/county has different rules, all I know is that they are doing all health profs first along with elderly/sick...I think, then they will move on to the little ones and then the rest of us. But I don't actually think anything is happening yet.
Give yourself a little treat, we all deserve them from time to time.
Get well soon

Tall,dark handsome ........ and rich?
By the by, re:my recent money saving tip about buying your cards in the after Christmas sales I've just realised a batch I bought a while ago come into the 'large letter' thingy so will cost me twice as much to post (Duh!:o) Moral of the story-buy small cards!
Hello to club head - you have done the right thing and have come to right place for a warm welcome and support.
And Ian, you're a star!
'Twitty'
Colin Firth.......well......no words necessary methinks! Gorgous.
I'm more of a 'Daniel Craig coming out of the sea in Casino Royal' fan,
takes my breath away that does......
oh yes, DMP stuff........:D
Had a letter from the CCCS today.....they need a letter from us, signed to confirm something, even though it is in the budget, anyway, I will do what they say and get it faxed or sent on Monday. The letter says that they can't process our DMP without it ....so will sort that tomorrow. Should be ok.
Also had a letter from the Debt Collection Agency who are now looking after my 9K credit card debt with MBNA Alliance & Leicester. They received my notification of DMP letter last week and in today's letter they ask me to phone them to discuss it further!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I THINK NOT!!!!!!!!!!
They can jolly well wait for CCCS to contact them and they should have read the letter clearly cos I added a sentence saying something along the lines of 'in writing only please' and 'cccs are dealing with it now blah blah'.
The letter has been filed away.
That's my news on the DMP front, hopefully still on track for the 1st Dec.

Thanks, Northstar, Of course there is a duty of care towards my patients, there is NO WAY I would ever put any of them at risk from this outbreak, but some of the people I work with have had really bad reactions to the vaccine. One of the girls is asthmatic, so she really wanted the vaccine, but has been breathless and really wheezy since she got it.
I just think it's up to me, as well as everyone who treats people with underlying health problems, to be responsible for not spreading it around no matter what. I'm just trying to say that, as far as I'm concerned, that vaccine is toxic, and don't have it unless you really need to.
If only I had Colin Firth, Dressed as Mr Darcy, asking me "Are you quite well" I would feel SO much better!:j:hello::hello::jDMP mutual support thread member 3480 -

I agree, I'm trying not to think about it but will have to seriously consider it when 'our turn' comes. It's all been such a rush job hasn't it and it's all worrying. Prevention is very important. Everytime we come in I have trained my girls to wash their hands with soap, my older girl has that antiseptic gel in her lunch bag, I carry one around too and Im so proud of my 4 year old......she washes her hands at every opportunity......oh god I hope I havent made her obssessed! LOL
I work in a primary school and I keep telling the children to cover their mouths when coughing/sneezing etc.......drives me mad! So yes, I have some gel there too.
I also know others who have really suffered after having the swine flu jab and also after taking the tamiflu meds. So it's hard to know what to do reallyTotal Debt : £61,302.84 :eek:DMP with CCCS started 1.01.2010Debt Free in 13 Years 1 month, hopefully sooner as things improve and they stop interest/charges!!Long Hauler #188 DMP Member 353Thank you so much to all posters :beer:0 -

Thanks Tooth fairy always find people on here so polite!!!
Just wanted to ask if anyone has had dealing with FLM loans. They appear to be royal pains in the ar**.
We have been paying them thru our DMP they dont really accept this. Also while ago they took money from my wifes bank account after she had closed the account and although decreasing the FLM debt they have upped the debt on her overdraft!!! Seems this cant be right as the account should have been closed and how could the bank with whom she has overdraft of £900 allow this to go up to aver £1800 now!!! CCCS have told us to write strongly worded letters to both FLM and First Direct stating this is a formal complaint and give them 40 days to respond. Any advice would be good
Also quick on about reclaiming bank charges, Got letter thru from company dealing with my claim( didnt have time or inclination to do claims myself!!!) they say Ombudsman says i am not in hardship!!!! It appears being on a DMP means I am not in hardship as bank is accepting reduced payments.?!?! What crazy world we live in!!! Any one else annoyed about the delay on the ruling regarding bank charges!!!
Any way enough from me!!!
Thanks in anticipation of your answers!!!Proud to be dealing with my debts :j:j

Hi there, welcome to the board. Dont want to be negative at this early stage but a lot of us on here are doing DMPs with CCCS which offer a free service. Dont know about pay service?? but if they charge you for it then it will take you longer to pay off your debts. Can you explainj pay servce a bit more?? LBM 23-10-2009 - Total unsecured debt £39,638.65 _pale_
