Mornin all
Hope your havin a good start 2 the weekend ?
Ive already had 5 phone calls 2 the house phone and 5 to my mobile this morning and its ony just past 11am so think im in for another weekend of hell from our creditors !!, sent the signed paperwork back to CCCS in week so hopfully our DMP will be up and running by 1st Dec (does anyone agree) ive just checked our online account am im completly gutted weve opened a coop basic account but was to late to get my wages paid into this month (they go in monday) so i have cancelled all my standing orders & direct debits and was going to withdraw maney in bank on mon am and put in straight into new coop account and although payday not til mon its showing already (think my employers must bank with natwest??) they have already taken my loan payment even though i had cancelled the standing order ??? i was sending my letter to them mon explaining my DMP and offering a token payment this month so now im again £300 down !! At the mo it just seems there is no light at the end of the tunnel, I was sending all my letters to creditors mon as was stressed about the bank situation as majority of our creditors are either natwest or lloyds and we both have salary paid in on mon into them do you think i could put in the dont contact me by phone letters before sending them as the flamin phone has rang another 2 times whilst ive typed this !!,0 -
hi jayne i had tons of calls but what i did was write to each creditor telling them ive started a dmp and that im only contactable via mobile. said please contact dfh for enquiries about payment and after 2 weeks they seemed to have stopped most of there calls. halifax was the main pest but think they got the message im not answering and seem to be talking to dfh now and sending letters rather than calls.0

Absolutely, get that template letter done and sent off.
I'm sure you will be fine for a Dec 1st start, there are a few of us here who are also due to start that day. We also had problems this time last week about money going out when it shouldnt, accounts not being ready, all sorts of things threw a spanner in the works and it was very very stressful, our blood pressures were raised for quite a few days.
But a week on we are all slowly sorting things out and waiting for our Welcome Packs.
I also had cancelled a direct debit and standing order 3 days before it was due to go out......they still took it out and I was so stressed, but then they put it back in straight away, so maybe check your account again? It can take 24 hours though.
ttf, I read 30 pages of that saving pennies thread, only about another 170 to go I think, but there is some good info there, I just scroll down and skim it picking out bits I like the sound of
I seriously have to get my shopping bill down and I think I have done quite well this week, if I can get it down further that would be great!
HAve a good weekend everyone, ready for Monday and whatever challenges will come our way........unless of course you have Barclaycard on you back like I do, they like to ring early Sunday mornings and late SUnday nights :mad:........(another letter of complaint ready to go of course)

What is it about Colin Firth that you girls love? I had an ex, who kept a photoframe with me on one side, and him on the other...
As for egos, please leave me alone, and concentrate on Geoff, who does more stellar work than I ever could. Please treat me as the warm up comedian to the main event!
Tall,dark handsome ........ and rich?
By the by, re:my recent money saving tip about buying your cards in the after Christmas sales I've just realised a batch I bought a while ago come into the 'large letter' thingy so will cost me twice as much to post (Duh!:o) Moral of the story-buy small cards!

Hi
Hope everybody is getting along Ok with their DMPs.
Mine has been going well since I started in June with everybody stopping interest. However, today I have received a default notice from Citibank saying I need to pay £900 by 28 November or else they may take me to court. Bless them.
Can anybody help with a letter I can send to them?
Any advice gratefully received.
Thanks

Hi Club Head, Can I join Twitty in welcoming you to the forum.
You're among friends.
In the two months I've taken part, I've realised how much information everyone has to share.I don't think there's anything people on here haven't heard before!
To tell the truth, I would have been bewildered starting a DMP without the support of people here who have answered all my questions!

I'll need to try get myself and the girlies dressed and somehow make it round asda this morning as there's no food in. I shouldn't really go and spread our swine flu germs, but we need to eat. Whaddya do! No time to get it delivered, so needs must.
Hi LMS, hope you and the family are feeling much better.
I had the Swine Flu vaccine yesterday (being involved in "frontline" NHS dentistry! that name I use is more apt than you might think haha!)
Jeez, it's had quite an effect, had to leave Asda earlier, felt really spaced out, sick, and me poor old arm is up like a "bap" When I read the leaflet, it's like, 1 in 10 have side effects! Mine are mild compared to others, but I'm not sure I would have that jab again.
Sorry for whinging when you all have had the awful bug, but I would say to anyone who is offered it, read up first!
