yay to Australia! how exciting! I worry about the expenses and no credit card thing too! that's the way it works here as well and so far i haven't had huge expenses but what if i do in future. they've also recently changed it so they only do the expenses once a month. before, you spent it, put the form in and got it straight back, now you may have to wait almost a whole month depending on when you sepnd it. this makes me very nervous when i'm living on such a tight budget with no cards and no extra! i've heard my boss make comments about someone who doesn't have a card saying 'how can he cope without a card?'! eeek!
Yay, payday today! so today is the start of my new strict budget regime! fingers crossed i do ok!
i'm already nervous about decembers one coz i've had an invite to a wedding. in scotland, on the 19th Dec. just not sure how i'm going to manage it but really really really want to go! might have to do a lot of juggling and also a lot of turning xmas parties down!
Hiya all
Daffy & Becks - same here!! expenses are turning into a nitemare - its like walking a tightrope.
Alos have the situation at work where i always used to arrangee the xmas do - the deposit needs to be paid by CC & guess who no longer has a CC??!!! that'll be me!!!
& cos i work in a bank - just came out & said ''i haven't got a CC anymore cos i was getting into deep'' (haha - putting it mildly) and you should see the looks i got!!
honestly -feel like screaming at my so called wondeful banking collegues
''if people didn't borrow money WE WOULDN'T HAVE JOBS!!!!''
anyhoo - creditor update - waiing to hear if Lloyds (CC 8k) are going to take me to court or if they will accept my offer via cccs. i'm honestly pooing myself over this - i was stupid enough to think that i would get away with CCJ's. - but i haven't tried the agreement request - i think i should get onto that now as i took this CC out when i was about 20 - over 16 years ago!!
have g8 w/ends - have a family ''do'' 2moro night -fee booze & a chance to put my high heels on & dance!!!!
sasxxxMassive !! LBM June 09 - Debts [STRIKE]£70k [/STRIKE] now £63k (PPI Claim succesfull)
will never ever ever get credit again (couldn't if i wanted!!!! - LOL - have to laugh, keeps me sane.

ooh i know the feeling too! just got back from a week's business trip today and am totting up my expenses - it gets quite embarrassing having to let colleagues etc. pay all the time -and there's only so often you can do it without looking tight. we don't have company ccs either and it really is a nightmare. i have another trip coming up next month too - but this time I'm going to ask for a cash advance. My boss really doesn't understand how people can have no money - of course he lives in a mansion, drives a fancy car and has no money worries! try being one of us little-uns?!? if he asks me outright why i can't pay for it myself I'm going to say that i don't see why I should! hurumph!

Hello! Me again!
Thanks for the replies! So Have i got this right? Pay Plan and CCCS are much of a muchness and both do the same thing?
I have started the ball rolling with Payplan but the figure they gave me per month will have to change as there were a few errors on the info sent through from the first lady I spoke to, to the 2nd lady who is now dealing with it all. So am awaiting new figures.
Question........When she gets back to me with the budget stuff and the figures what will I have to do then? Obviously i presume they want proof of earnings etc. WHat else do they need and how long will it be until it is all set up??
Many thanks

Hi all
Received a letter from one of my Lloyds TSB loans yesterday telling me they wouldn't accept my reduced payments and that they will be following their normal debt recovery proceedure. Pooped my pants all night... then....low and behold this morning received another letter from them to tell me that they would accept my reduced payments (for the same loan) for 6 months and in this time they wouldn't add interest or charges! :j
Well lets just see what they come back with for the other 4 debts with them!Slimming World Newby 75.5lbs for starters, another 75lbs after that!:rotfl:One small step for me one giant leap for my backside!;):rotfl:

Hi All
posting for a moan I'm afraid.
Just received the 3rd statement this week - odd I hear you say, all your accounts should be closed when I paid the last intsey winsey little bits of interest! NOOOOOOO Those incredible robbing (want to swear here but wont) keep forgetting to click the "Bye bye debted customer, you dont owe us any money any more" button. How foolish and those poor people in every customers services I have rang this week and screamed at them to close the accounts. Only 10p interest here and 12p there, but I have demanded that is reversed off the account and then closed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! purlease
I tell you, you would think this was the easy bit getting them to say goodbye after such a terrible time of paying back debts, but no, they want to hang onto you for all they are worth! Idiots the lot of them. One woman told me today they would not confirm my details until I gave them the last three digits on the back of the card - "A CREDIT CARD I HAVE NOT HAD FOR FOUR YEARS AND SENT BACK IN LITTLE PIECES WHEN I STARTED WITH PAYPLAN", kept asking her how I could give her the number when I "DONT HAVE A CARD" when she had asked for it 4 times and I repeated the above, louder each time I hasten to add - Oh she says - completely purplexed that I would have to make her stray from her robotic sheet of paper of what to say next!
Lets see what next week brings!LBM: March, 2005
DFD: 6th August, 2009  DONE!

And did I not foresee the future and forewarn you about the evils of catching Swine Flu (was that a grunt I heard???)
Glad you're on the mend now!0 -

How about
You - 'I'd like to close my account please'
CC Company - Hogwash,hogwash,waffle,confusion
You - 'You find that difficult? -then I'd like to borrow £******* (insert your favourite lottery win amount here) By the way I've been on a DMP for the last X years and haven't got a hope in h*ll of paying you back. So now can we close the account?'
Good luck and keep smiling!0 -

By no means an expert myself but I know that Pay Plan and CCCS are very similar in that they are both free Dept Management companies. They do differ in the way that they apportion your payments to each creditor. I believe CCCs do it by the amount you were paying each company per month whilst Pay Plan look at the total to each creditor. With CCCS you need proof of earnings but not I think with Pay Plan.
As to the rest of your questions depends where you are in your repayment schedule/in arrears etc. Ask Pay Plan when you speak to them again. Most importantly make you have a 'safe' bank account not linked to any of your creditors.
Good Luck!0
