Footiemad, if you used Norton as your broker then if you are asking the FOS if they were regulated then perhaps best to use "Norton Insurance Services Limited" when you ask and not "Norton Finance". Norton Insurance Services Limited were actually Norton Finances principals and when people have been asking FOS if Norton were regulated, FOS have been saying to people "not until 2007". Norton Finance were actually Appointed Representatives of Norton Insurance Services Limited (from the FSA register here - business number 306090 - Norton Insurance Services Ltd). You really need to ask if they were GISC members at the time of your loan.

I have been on the phone to FOS, spoke to a very nice lady. I asked her if Norton Insurance Services were registered to GISC. Informed me that they were after I gave their buisness no 306090. She confirmed that Norton Finance were not registered until 2007.
I was then asked to give the details of my complaint and explained that PPI was never discussed in any form and told her that I had adequate cover from my employees.

Gave the details of when I took out the loan with Endeavour Personal Finance and that I had a single premium.

She then offered to write to them on my behalf or that I could write to them myself. I took up her offer and she explained the 8 week rule for them to reply.

Here goes, fingers crossed.

Thats the address given to me by FOS, but I did't get tel nos. You are good at this, font of all knowledge.

I forgot to say that they also confirmed that Norton Insurance are registered with GISC.

I got given the address below first, but I cannot remember what she said, however when I explained that Norton Finance were acting as principles she gave me the S.Yorks address, all thanks to you.
