First of all go to the people who have sold you the Policy. Do not give up that easilly you need lots of patience.

I only posted the GISC thing for the rules in place for GISC members but I think the list on there is not a full list and is a list of marine and boat insurers but the code of conduct is still the same.

yes i know but i just get passed from one to the other and no final respond so just fedup with it all

I think sue has been to the ones that sold the policy and it was Norton Finance. However, there was a problem last year with someone named "spoll" who was complaining for his parents. He made the complaint and the policy was sold in 2006 so after regulations etc BUT fos told him that norton were not regulated until 2007. ALL sales of insurance was regulated in 2005 as we know so i looked on the fsa register at the time and Norton Finance were there BUT (again sorry) they were actually appointed representatives of Norton Insurance Services. The FOS rightly told him that Norton Finance were not regulated but did not tell him that their principals were Norton Insurance Services and this was who the complaint went against at the FOS. Spoll then resubmitted his complaint and it went through. ALso troness came along and confirmed this too that FOS had got it wrong.

Sue, you may have to start again with Norton insurance services as these were who you should take to the FOS and FOS will accept it if they were GISC members. I am so sorry that you have had the run around but please don't give up.

No, against Norton insurance services ltd as they were norton finances principals but you need to find out if they were gisc members at the time of your loan.

Sue if you have final response from Norton Finance then give the fos a ring and tell them that you have a final from Norton Finance BUT your complaint is actually against Norton Insurance Services Limited.
