I always think fish tanks are "typical council".

From my younger days I remember that everybody I knew that had a council flat - and was probably on/off the dole - had a fish tank, wall to wall video collection and some stand up 14" high Elvis dolls on the hearth.

I was even in a scabby council house one night with a big tank on its own stand, when the usual/inevitable fight ensued and the whole lot went over.

Most men seem to like looking at fish in garden centres and things. I think fish are pretty but goodness knows cleaning out fish poop is low on my list of must ave lifestyle accesories for a home.:o

It winds me up though.

Because I can't stop thinking that it was idiots like this with their cheap and easy acces to credit and their over-the-top consumerist tendencies that have contributed to the mess we now find our country and economy in.

My missus says I should lighten up. But it so annoys me.
