Beeny: "Where are you with money, you were going to spend £250k on this ..."

He said: "..... up to about £460k already..."

    Beeny said, "you have:
    - A site that is shut down
    - Budget that is double
    - You're only half way through
    - it's gone pear-shaped"

He's going to go back to tender and invite the existing contractor to re-quote ... I'd put the price up by 5x the amount to ensure I DIDN'T win it!

Well: its better to admit you were wrong and change plans than not to. Good for them: lots of people would be too stubborn

Somebody's trying to stop me posting. Every few postings I have to start with a new browser...

Anyway ... flats - that's a new idea! Nobody builds flats. I can see why Beeny suggested splitting it up, but is flats really the answer. I'd like to have seen the footprint.

Most men seem to like looking at fish in garden centres and things. I think fish are pretty but goodness knows cleaning out fish poop is low on my list of must ave lifestyle accesories for a home.:o

Tell that to my OH  :o

(Fortunately though, we don't have a council house, we both work, don't have wall to wall video collections and don't have elvis dolls.....)

    Yeah.

But I like the way their anticipated sale prices of the flats coincides with what they intend to spend.

It's like "we are now spending x amount more so we'll put the price up by x"

    Jokers.
