Just popping in to say we had the scan this morning and despite the bleeds the baby is fine:j:j:beer::beer::D

We saw what its face as it was sleeping on its side facing the camera and then the scanner woke it up and it went nuts and she found it really difficult to get a measurement as it was moving around so much so pics are rubbsih but we are just so glad that it is ok - obviously everyones sticky bean vibes have worked:D thank you ladies:T

I am not sure about the chances of miscarriage now at 11+3 but i know we are definatley on the home straight towards the seccond trimester:j

I am due to see consultant next then midwife then 20 week scan.

Great news! Once you've heard the Hb then risk of mc drops to about 5 per cent, and it drops to 2 per cent once you are 13 weeks and over, so your odds right now are almost the same as they will be once you are in the second trimester.

    So you can relax!

SM, since yesterday braxton hicks have been in my back, worried that I could have most of my contractions in my back, she's obviously moved into a new position. That would be horrible!

Oh my goodness, I had no idea flight socks are so pricy! They cost about £13 a pair- ridiculous. Midwife has recommended I get them for my flight next week, so I feel it would be tempting fate not to. Anyone know any cheaper places though (need them for Monday so prob needs to be High St not online now).......

Hi sorry to intrude:o(someone was talking about Rhys a while ago on the ttc thread so came to see his story & now check back for news:D)

Flight socks.....have you tried Bodycare h&b ltd?? They're a discounted beauty store & are usually only a couple of quid, esp. at this time of year(I'm not a spammer, honest:p I worked for them years ago!) or try any discounted beauty store..any worth their salt will have them in(unless sold out:rolleyes:)

Congrats on all the new arrivals, Leila is GORGEOUS.....I'm so jealous of you all:o Hope to be a fully fledged member of the thread soon though;)

Glad Rhys is doing well....he's a proper little fighter:T:D

I'll go back to lurking now:wave:

btw I'm patiently waiting for news on MM & Dylan too:D

great news JHA, once you've seen the heartbeat at this stage the chances of miscarriage are hugely reduced so you should be able to relax and enjoy it..... I warn you now though...you don't ever seem to stop worrying that the baby is ok! From what i hear you just need to prepare yourself for a lifetime of worrying!

Hello  just nipping in to let you know I've finally got around to typing up my birth story :)http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.html?p=22607621&postcount=51

Skinty - we went for delayed cord clamping/cutting in the end, the MW was very supportive if it and my Mum did the actual cut :D I like the sound of cord ties because Edgars clamp thing came off on day 4 and wasn't ready but kept getting caught with his nappy and wriggling so we've had a bit of trouble with it :(
The very best is sometimes what nature gives us for free.
