Hi ladies,
Congratulations to StarGirl and YAY for Rhys!!
Speaking of chocolate I bought a huge bar of whole nut to enjoy tonight! Got DH fruit and nut, and maltesers for DS. Tried to stock up a bit on stuff when I went to Tesco earlier. It's now starting to panic me about DH knowing where everything is for doing DS's packed lunch, uniform etc. He doesn't normally do it so doesn't have a clue! I just wish baby would hurry up because the what ifs are really stressing me out!Sealed Pot Challenge #817 £50 banked0 -

RANT ALERT, feel free to skip this!
Boiler repair man has just rang, the part we need hasn't turned up so we will probably not have hot water (unless we put the central heating on ) until next week . To make matters worse their computer system is down so they can't even trace where this part is or whether its even been ordered yet. They are supposed to be ringing me back later to update me, so I might play the "pregnancy" card to try and get them to fix it ASAP!
Rant over....
On a more positive note, my midwife has spoken to the aneasthetist about whether I can have an epidural if I need one, and it sounds like I can! :j She still needs to speak to a registrar to confirm that I can have one from an obstetric (sp?) point of view, but it is all looking good.Value of prizes 2010 - 2017: £8374 Wins 2022: Magic set

CONGRATULATIONS Stargirl!
Hypno - massive hugs to you hon. I get crying days too and I think it's just the hormones. Try not to worry about it.
i went to our antenatal class last night. It was the first one even though we are mostly due within six weeks and it feels very late.
Despite that, none of the other couples seems to have the faintest clue about labour, babies or anything! It was weird cos I've read loads of books and got loads of info from people on here, so I felt like the class swot - and I don't think that went down too well!
Pretty much everyone else is planning a hossie birth, although one couple are looking at a midwifery unit, and i felt like a lentil-knitting hippy talking about our home birth and possible Lotus birth plans.
I'm not a hippy at all but I got the feeling they all think I'm a bit odd
I wanted to make friends there but no-one is from our town and I'm not sure. I do get like this in social situations with new people - I assume people don't like me - so it might be OK but we have a full morning tomorrow and I'm worried they will all balank me.
Anyway, not learned anything so far but it's nice to know I have prepared myself well and OH seemed chuffed he knew more than anyone else thanks to me talking to him about stuff all the time.
He said only one of the other men had read a book at all, and the others really were clueless but I guess that's what most people go on these courses for?
I've been researching into breech this monring and now feel even happier about doing it at home even if baby doesn;t turn, although I think that it might have done.
I used my doppler today and the HB was below my tummy button on the right, which seems to imply it is head down now, although I won;t know for sure till the scan.
I have no other news except I forgot to pay the C charge last week and now have a £60 fine! I only forgot cos they no longer have the kerbside machines you can use and my preggie brain forgot all about it by the time I got home.:cool: DFW Nerd Club member 023...DFD 9.2.2007 :heartpuls married 21 6 08 :A Angel babies' birth dates 3.10.08 * 4.3.11 * 11.11.11 * 17.3.12 * 2.7.12 :heart2: My live baby's birth date 22 7 09 :heart2: I'm due another baby at the end of July 2014! :j

d to make everything better!
Skinty- i had the same when i went to the NHS antenatal classes - no-one else there seemed to know anything about babies or pregnancy or labour and i seemed to be answering all the miwifes questions because the rest of them just sat there blank faced. OH thought it was really funny and just kept writing the word "boffin" on the handouts with arrows pointing to me....
I'm hopiung the NCT classes will be better, i'll be 36/37 weeks when i have mine though!0 -
