Ah, and as I said that, I got a knock at the door from one of the nurses saying the docs had just turned up..

They're stopping his monitoring from today - no more wires at all - YAY! :D

Also want me to try breastfeeding him more - wasn't allowed up until now - so I'm going back in ten mins to try it as it's nearly his feed time anyway.

Today's consultant was one we've seen probably about 10 days out of the 30odd Rhys has been here, but I've only just found out he is the one who revived Rhys at birth. He asked "How is my little friend?" then told me he'd been the one at the birth and said "It took a while but I don't give up easily" - no, thank god he doesn't! :D

Righty, must find a breastfeeding top so I'm not flashing my boobs to the whole room :D TTFN xx

I'm so pleased for him and you, elle. It's horrible when there's such a tiny baby covered in wires and doctors are giving doom and gloom prognoses. I remember them telling my mother that my brother (26 weeker, 3lbs, severe problems at birth) would never walk or talk. He's turning 21 next year and is currently working towards his pilot's licence and his degree. The no-walking-no-talking turned into "slight limp when he's tired; never shuts up".

I'm sure Rhys will do just as well.

    Hi Tink!

I am so jealous. Every man and their dog seems to be seeing Take That. I have sold my ticket as I didn't fancy standing for hours, but still feeling torn! Glad you had a good time.

Me too, My friend has my ticket, told her to sell it. I was happy to go by car but then my friends friend refused to drive, having previously volunteered herself I may add!! My friend can't drive, and I don't want to drive 90mins there,90mins back on motorway (I hate motorways they terrify me!) So it was gonna have to be the train, which adds time onto the total travelling time and means wouldn't get home till gone 1am, so Ive decided not to bother,as much as it pains me.
love my little man he is amazing :j

Hope MM is ok, bit early to be discharging herself, but I'd do the same. Tell her to take it easy! And to give that baby a huge hug!

Aless, it's pretty normal yes. I still have to force myself to eat even if I am starving the first few mouthfuls make me want to gag.

I had forgotten to send FIL's card until yesterday - he is in France, but hopefully he will get it on time. Last time I had to send the IL's something, it got there within 24 hours, and yet if I send a card to someone in the same city as me it takes 2 days !

Oh bUllocks Ive forgotten to post my dads fathers day card to him in Spain! Looks like he won't be getting one this year.

Triggles - thanks for the tip! I'll start keeping cream crackers next to my bed methinks. Tia - thanks too. I've just found it weird as I've ALWAYS been a big breakfast eater (get headaches if I DON'T), so even though I do want to eat, that 1st bite for some reason is really difficult!!
