Beenie, why don't you tell them by showing them the scan? That's what I did with DD1 :)

I took pics of my scan pic and then emailed them to family - rang said family and asked them to open their emails!! SURPRISE!!!!!

SM - doesn't affect me! I'm out for works do on Friday night :p

I don't have an appointment with my midwife till 28 weeks, but she said that if work hassles me for it before then to make an appointment, as long as it is after 20 weeks she can do it. So maybe bypass the reception and make an appointment with you MW then I am sure they will sort you out. I actually have a number that I can call 24/7 so if you have something like that where you speak direct to MW then give them a call?

    HTH

Karen - in order to make sure that you get all your entitlements and to do everything by the book you must get your MATB1 to your employer by the end of your 25th week of pregnancy. You can have it from 20 weeks.
I am doign everything by the book so that my work don't turn around and try and say 'oh but you didn't get your letter to us on time!'

If I wasn't already working at home, and didn't have the toddler at home, I probably would be bored silly. But trust me - potty training a rowdy 2yo keeps me MORE than occupied!!!! LOL

Carla, I have been a SAHM/carer for DS2 since he was just over a year old, though this year I have also been at college 3 days a week.

Last year DS2 was with me and my day was filled with DS1 to school, housework, physio/OT/play therapy with DS2, any of his appointments, collect DS1, feed the family, tidy up, kids to bed (if DH was off that day we would go or something).

This year it has been everyone to school/nursery/college, home, cook, tidy, kids to bed. Wed and Fri were my days off from college and DS2 was at nursery all day so I relaxed, went into town, did some running about for the shop.

Now I'm back at home full time, this is DS2's last full week at nursery, next week he is only there half days (full day wed and off on friday) then the schools break up. This week I have been trying to get the house sorted out, but now I have this cold so that's not happeneing!

From then on during the summer hols it will be busy with the kids. After they go back and baby is here it will be housework, spending time with baby and stuff...

I get my day in :rotfl:

Karen, just serach teh thread for EDD and you'll find it

Yea guess I've got all that to come

I keep chopping and changing my mind about my annual leave and when to take it - when I'm in work I just want to finish ASAP but when I'm home I think 'Oh, I might as well work for as long as I can and get paid for the leave meaning I'll have an extra £1000 to play with'

Afternoon all.. feeling better today but have a groggy head still..

Work manic, so to join in with mat leave discussion, I'm hoping to work up to due date if bump doesnt arrive before, and will be back at work 1st Feb 4 days a week. I get the SMP which isnt great hence going back to work quite soon. Ive told employer dates I want to start mat leave, but havent had my form either, got appointment next week so will ask for it then, or do I have to pre-warn them I'm going to get it.

Bump is getting really hard, my back is killing. I cant believe how much this has taken over my body, I hargly know myself anymore. x
