Carla - I'm 33wks as well. I have a 2yo DS who keeps me quite busy, especially as he's now getting past the idea of a mid-day nap. I've got SPD, so I don't stray too horribly far from home, as otherwise I'm quite sore by evening. But I do washing up, laundry, general pickup (which means I reclean the living room and DS's bedroom about 50 times a day!), making meals, potty training (which translates into 50 trips to the toilet just in case!) and play with DS. I'm trying to get some miscellaneous cleaning done as well, such as organising the dining room bookcases and sorting through all our paperwork to see what we can shred and what we need to save, as it's a mess. I save the "going out past playing in the garden" days for when DH is off, so if I need to rest, he can take over. Also, I believe you may be able to pick up a copy of the MA form at JobCentre.
Skinty - I sent my filled in MA paperwork (along with documentation like MATB1 form) just after I hit 29 wks. They then processed it, and sent me back a letter that says basically "fill this out when you know when you want your MA to start and this will get it started." So you can send it in now if you have all the docs you need, and they will send you that letter to hold on to and send in when you're ready.MSE mum of DS(7), and DS(4) (and 2 adult DCs as well!)DFW Long haul supporters No 210:snow_grin Christmas 2013 is coming soon!!! :xmastree:0 -
I think my problem now is that when i tell mum and sis they'll say 'oh when's your scan' but i've had it and they might be miffed i've not told them. Seems the longer i leave it the harder its gonna get!0

Beenie, why don't you tell them by showing them the scan? That's what I did with DD1A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

I'm being such a big baby I know but I'm in tears after ringing my doctors office to enquire about what week you get your MATB1 form and how to go about getting it (seeing as though my next and 2nd appointment with the MW is at 28wks).
My employer was asking for it yesterday (Im 22 wks) and said I should have got it at 20wks plus it says in the company handbook that I need to have it in at least 15wks before my due date else it can affect your payments. I looked it up on the internet and quite a few people were saying 20wks so I got a bit panicked.
I politely asked the doctor's receptionist for advice and she barked at me as if I was a complete idiot and should not have bothered her with ringing she virtually shouted "WE CANNOT FILL IN A MATB1 FORM UNTIL AT LEAST 14 WEEKS BEFORE A PERSONS DUE DATE." and continued to repeat this over and over when I was explaining I was just a bit worried as work was asking for it. If my next appointment with the MW is at 28wks that will be a bit late to start faffing over it and I'm wanting to leave work at the earliest opportunity.
I know my hormones are making me react so but she was so horrible that it's actually put me off ever going back there.
I don't have an appointment with my midwife till 28 weeks, but she said that if work hassles me for it before then to make an appointment, as long as it is after 20 weeks she can do it. So maybe bypass the reception and make an appointment with you MW then I am sure they will sort you out. I actually have a number that I can call 24/7 so if you have something like that where you speak direct to MW then give them a call?
