lou - I've got it. It's okay, but seems to be marketed towards very fashion-savvy city women who started off as a size 10 and B-cup boobs*. Fine if you're that, but a lot of her 'truths' become irrelevant if you're not! I would say that I already knew most of the stuff she writes about and the rest I've heard about since on MSE pregnancy thread
!
Good for a chuckle, but kinda useless on the the advice front. Or maybe I'm just cynical...Also, it was written a good 10+ years ago, so things HAVE changed since then.

For those that are on a really tight budget - like me:o but want to use the new innovations with the old terries and dont want to use the mothercare budget set which includes plastic pants - on a small baby i have found these. Old terries with new style wraps and nappy fastenings. I originally wanted tots bots and then terries with motherease wrikki (sp.) wraps but couldnt afford them - even 2nd hand. I dont know about how leak proof these are but we dont mind so much about that as bean will be in disposables for the first couple of weeks.

lizzie, can you edit your EDD list to add searching's little boy's name? It's Jayden, she announced todaytop 2013 wins: iPad, £50 dental care, £50 sportswear, £50 Nectar GC, £300 B&Q GC; jewellery, Bumbo, 12xPringles, 2xDiesel EDT, £25 Morrisons, £50 Loch Fyne

jha - so the terry is the bit that goes inside the wrap, right? I see you've bought 8 wraps & 12 nappies...seems like a great price for wraps + liners + terries. Is that a normal number for a newborn? And where did you find those prices? Thanks!
(so clueless, but trying to learn all the vocab here!)top 2013 wins: iPad, £50 dental care, £50 sportswear, £50 Nectar GC, £300 B&Q GC; jewellery, Bumbo, 12xPringles, 2xDiesel EDT, £25 Morrisons, £50 Loch Fyne

You get a terry nappy and fold it to put it on as a nappy and put a liner in, fix with the nippa and then cover with the wrap - i think:p0
-
Sorry hubby just leaving to tutor - i am going with 4 small wraps and 4 medium size to take from a couple of weeks to 23lbs (approx). Loads of mums have more than that but i wash every day - i was also impressed by the nappy pail which is a big 16 ltr one:D
oooo by the way 10 weeks today - yay0 -

We have, at long last, got our long list of baby names down to 2 boys and 2 girls now though.

Grrrrrrr i've just been to Asda to pick up my "Mum to be" bounty pack and all of the money off coupons expire on 30th June :mad::mad::mad:
I would have used almost all of them if they didn't expire til i'd put some money aside or got HiPG but as it is, i won't have any money between now and then so i can't use them.

However i have gone up a dress size but as said thats from giving up smoking.Darling son born 10/12/09 hopefully the 1st of many :j0
