Re: nappies. At the prenatal class I took, the midwife taught us that it is normal in Germany to use muslin cloths for nappies with a liner made of cellulose (biodegradable paper-type stuff) that you pull out of the nappy when covered in poop and flush. A woollen or waterproof pair of pants goes over the top.

The way the cloth's folded is not the same as in the UK, I think, I'll try to explain:

The cloth is square. Fold it diagonally to make a triangle.
And in half again to make a small triangle.
Then you pull one corner out so what you're left with is a rectangle shape with a triangle missing.
Lie the cloth flat with rectangle piece upwards.
Under the rectangle piece should be the other side of the triangle.
Fold the rectangle bit so there are three layers of it in the middle of the nappy.
    Add cellulose sheet.
    Add baby.
Fasten it up (using pins or just tucking it in).
Add pants/something over the top to stop poop escaping.
    Be an earth mother.

oh yes you just reminded me. Everyone apart from me got a bounty pack after there scans yestersay. They were running v last and they send me down for my bloods while they printed stuff out then came down to meet me to hand over my notes so i never got one

After such a high yesterday, today has been s**t ds is being a nightmare. Then i just took him to big school with all his pre-school friends for a look around and a lad and old man started having a go at me as ds and his friend had wondered slightly inside the football court. They weren't even playing football and just standing around talking but they really let rip at me so i let rip back at the lad but the man didn't like the fact i was defending my son so had a go at me. It was after school and the football court is a public place where anyone can go grrr  i am so annoyed!

    rant over!

:D:D Proud mummy moment.. Rhys is having two hours off CPAP instead of the one which was planned as he's doing so well on it :) He looks so calm and peaceful whilst on it and his sats stay perfectly high.

Also, he didn't have to have eye tests today. Doc decided he's too young so he's making a special visit to come back next week for him. Remember I said the mum of the other baby in the room is a nurse? Well she works with this doctor and tells me he's very good :D

elasti, give them a ring if you're not going to see them soon and ask if you can collect it because the pack you get after the scan has the voucher for the pack i just collected today in it, aswell as a coupon for a free pack of 27 nappies from Tesco.

Wondering whether i should take the coupons back to Asda and ask for new ones but not sure if i'm brazen enough, just highly miffed about them, i love coupons! :(

Grrrrrrr i've just been to Asda to pick up my "Mum to be" bounty pack and all of the money off coupons expire on 30th June :mad::mad::mad:

I would have used almost all of them if they didn't expire til i'd put some money aside or got HiPG but as it is, i won't have any money between now and then so i can't use them.

    :mad::mad::mad::mad:

when i got mine a few weeks ago all the coupons had expired on 30th of April, i took it back and they exchanged it for me with no fuss and were really apologetic. so maybe you could wait until july and then take it back.

beenie - why not ask Customer Services at ASDA to swap it for one with better dates?

Regarding sex of baby - I didn't mind either way but OH really wanted a boy so I was hoping it was a boy so that he wasn't too disappointed.

Got home at 1.30am last night so slept til 11am and been in bed ALL day with OH watching episodes of Prison Break! Not even got dressed :p

Popping into work tomorrow AM to drop my letter and MATB1 off and do a couple of hours paid overtime. Work have said that any annual leave I have left when I start Mat Leave can either be paid in September or be taken as extra holidays once my SMP finishes. Gonna see how much money I've saved by then and decide in Sept - IF I have any leave left that is!

    No MM today
