Fantastic news LouB, really pleased for you.
Hope things go smoothly from here on in.
Let us all know what the next steps are!!
Lets see if anyone else gets something positive.....0 -
Ok, it all seems strange, the HA say we have to take out a slightly bigger loan and smaller mortgage.
Anyway our FA just has to supply revised figures (form k5 I think) and TVH say it can then be signed off on monday...Here's hoping...0 -
These may be government designed schemes, but you need to remember that they're not being run by the local council, the housing services have all been privatised and are run by private companies now and they don't have to answer to the government in the same way.
This is just another example of the government selling out to save money and it becoming a nightmare, just look at the railways! Foundation Trust Hospitals owned mostly by PFI = the NHS is going the same way, just watch this space...saving up another deposit as we've lost all our equity.
We're 29% of the way there...0 -
Does this mean its all over with for this year? Nice to be told directly...after applying early April I had the standard letter saying to wait until heard back due to backlog which would take 2-3 months, after which I rang to find out if funding still available they said yes definately not going to run out just clearing log so know exactly whats available...then I went on to website last night and saw this...is it too much to ask to be told directly?!?!?
"MYCHOICEHOMEBUY UP-DATE MAY 2009
Funding for MyChoiceHomeBuy has now been exhausted. We are unable to accept further applications at this stage. Any applications received will be put on a waiting list until further funds are available. This may not be until next financial year.
In the meantime you may wish to view our New Build HomeBuy or Intermediate Rent properties, or visit your local HomeBuy Agent's website for other home ownership options."0 -
We, like many people who have been applying for this scheme have been told that the money has been reserved for us on receipt of our application. I think that notice is for people who are interested in the scheme and / or people who have made an offer and have not yet sent their pack yet.
I have had numerous phone calls with TV, all of which have tipped toed around the funding situation. The money is there for those who have had it reserved and are awaiting sign-off.
I hope that clears it up. Again, it should not be for us to confirm with each other!0 -

So whats the total waiting time since they received your paperwork?
Ha ha ha!!! We dont have the confirmation letter but they posted it this morning.. i hope!! But they did confirm that we have been approved and can proceed so thats good enough for me!
They received our documents on 29th April, but they did lose them and didnt find them until about 6th May so basically from 29th May until 3rd June was the whole time we were waiting from sending our documents in.Offer accepted on new home - 23/04/09

I have just spoken to TVH regarding the £100 we paid one of their panel of IFAs, since we are no longer allowed to submit an offer or proceed, I want that £100 back!! The woman was a bit funny on the phone, saying to put it in writing and they 'will have a look at it', when asked if they will refund she said 'probably, but we'll have to see'. There'll be hell to pay if I don't get my blooming money!!0

Our problem has changed overnight, apparently now we have to explain and provide details and proof concerning every outgoing shown on bank statements...so have scanned and sent in more documents and hopefully that will suffice. We are waiting for confirmation of receipt, and it will now be signed off Tuesday at the earliest...possibly!0

Hi all, I've not posted for a couple of days. We were rejected for good yesterday. Because we had some over time on our payslips which took us over 60k. But had it been the next 3 months with no overtime (as it's not guaranteed) we would have been accepted. Our IFA said that they are doing everything they can to deter people as funding is running low. Well it seems it has run out! IFA said about re applying in 3 months, but then there would definitely be no funds! Lizzie Bums - I was told categorically on the phone when we first applied in April that funds would easily last until October, pffff rubbish. Well we have found a nice new house to rent for a year and try and save save save... Good luck every body else! Oh PS R&C You are not likely to get anything back, our IFA didnlt ask for any funds up front where as others did, as he said there is a high likleyhood of being re jected xx0
