We are still waiting....We are going to give it until 3 o clock and then we will try to phone them. I am seriously expecting an extended time scale or bad news!!

I really hope not, for your sake... and sanity!!

Is no news good news? I am biting my nails in anticipation hoping that someone has had some joy !
  • I am afraid you will be dissapointed!

So, we wait until 3 before phoning and still no news, but TV say they will call back- and, shock, horror, this time they do! However, news is not good: apparently the panel IFA made a mistake with the figures, and we need to take a smaller mortgage and larger loan, something to do with percentages...(despite already having a mortgage agreement in principle) They said they couldn't get through to financial advisor, but that we would have to resubmit forms. So we phone FA and get straight through, and he does not know what they are talking about, so we insist that he sorts it out. On speaking to them he says that he has done nothing wrong, as the loan /mortgage ratio is up to their discretion, but we should not have to resubmit anything...The lady at TV was only in til 4, so we can do nothing more until tomorrow, but it isn't looking good...

They said it had all been checked and just had to be signed off last week! I think they just make it all up as they go along...

Ah no, they seem to make one thing up after another! But well done LouB06, I am really pleased for you at least one of us has got somewhere, we have our last hope tomorrow, when our IFA is back, for him to have it out with them... Another restless night and too much comfort snacking! But I'm not too hopeful, hence we have been to look at new properties to rent today, boo hiss

Surely though they have already reserved the funds for you but that is so stupid if they make you re-submit everything again. Hopefully the FA will sort it out with them. Its just another delay that you dont need.

I hope they sort it out for you VERY soon!

We have had the funds reserved for us too, ours was 20%. Then it all went pear shaped. All that was needed for us was for the assessor to sign it off. It's bad really, seems to be a lot of incompetencies... Ho hum, tomorrow is D Day
  • Well done LouB06, dont feel bad!
The silly thing is it is just a technicality, they say they have to give us more money in loan for, bit it is such a small amount, probably less than £2000, that we could pay ourselves anyway! Oh well, we will try again tomorrow. The FA says we are lucky to have got this far...

And good luck MissPixieWix, let us know how you get on!
