Hi Anysmack
Here is my thread on Legal Beagles on the subject which has had well over 20,000 view http://www.legalbeagles.info/forums/showthread.php?t=16630 it will help you understand fully.
Everyday more and more CMC's pop up and some more dissapear.
If you want to reclaim anything that is possible to reclaim it would be a good idea to start to read up on some threads in the sections that apply to you sites such as MSE and Legal Beagles will be able to advise you further. Whats more 100% of any recoverable charges will be yours.
For instance Credit card charges are at present a doddle to recover.

Hi Emma
To me 14 days means 14 days - if they do not include weekends they should say so.
Can you please send back imediately the pack with a letter addressed to Mr Cunliffe by recorded or special delivery and address it to:-
Mr J Cunliffe

Please add a cc to the Ministry of Justice, you can get their details from their web site.
Mr Cunliffe is a director and you can tell him that you have changed your mind and that you want a full refund and you phoned within the 14 days and remind him that a copy of the letter is also going to the MOJ.
Cento have their licence due for renewal at the end of March so they will not want to upset the MOJ imho.
Emma, please let me know how you get on and do not take no for an answer.

Well, we've had one person say one thing and another say something else!! We had an email back saying thanks for lnforming us, refund pack is is on it's way blah blah blah...then my OH gets a call, although we sent the email Saturday and it's clearly date stamped as it was only opened today it falls outside of 14 days - I so could have lost it!!! So if weekends don't count then 14 days is Thursday - No it isnt, today is day 15!!!:mad:This was with one of their Managers. I was also told only a solicitor can claim the money back after stating the reason for cancelling is the fact it could be done for free by ourselves:rotfl:
After I spoke to them on the phone (and informing him I am getting the MJO involved by making them aware of their shoddy 14 day rule!) I wrote back to the girl who sent me the email and she confirmed we will get an refund as we contacted them within 14 days!!!:D
I'll let you know the outcome!2013 wins: Persil Bunny0 -
Hi Emma
Just to say as well to keep everything now in writing, as unless you are recording the phone calls they can deny that they told you that you would get a refund. If you have an email address use that and ask them to confirm to your email address imediately that they are returning the money.
Don't forget Mr J Cunliffe is a Director and he will have the final say. So try tomorrow to get an email from them confirming that the refund is going to happen.
And it is the MOJ not MJO...
All the best Tuttsimilly88
