]Hi Milly
I did an online quote with loans.co.uk so no doubt this is where they got my details from,as for the mortgage details,i dont know!
They did tell me they had there own solicitors but did not quote the name and never thought on asking and i never asked where they got my details.
They did say that the £149 charge would be refunded in 24 hours and i did forget to put this in my letter to the MOJ.
I shall post any reply i receive from the MOJ.
Thanks for the interest Milly.
Great site folks.....Lets go get em!![/QUOTE]0 -

I was interviewed yesterday by the BBC, for a 2.5 minute piece they are doing on Claims Management Companies. They interviewed me and 3 others, being another consumer who has paid £265 to a claims management company plus the Ministry of Justice and CAB.
My interview is about my phone call which I received from Cento Client Review and how intrusive it was and the fact they knew all my personal details. They also had phoned when I was not in and spoke freely to my o/h about the £3k they could claim back for me. They had no right to discuss this information with anyone else other than me as it was my data not his.
I hope that it is not cut too much and that I was able to get a clear message accross.
BBC1 Saturday 6th June 7am - 9am.
If for any reason it is cut because of air time, then they will have a piece about this subject on their web site.milly88
I follow Legal Allsorts, a very interesting site.0 -
BigTeddyBear - I had the same phone call from these people yesterday and they told me exactly the same as you. I was very sceptical, hence looking at this website today as I know the truth would be on here.
Please be so kind as to post the repoly you get from the Ministry of Justice.
Its interesting however to see that the MOJ have got Cento as an authorised business to deal with claims.
So are they or arent they a real claims company? The whole £149 up front thing was the main thing that got my suspicions raised immediately...
Lets see what happens...
Thanks!0 -

They exist and are authorised. However, MoJ authorisation is an absolute doddle to get and you shouldnt put any faith in the authorisation as being an indicator of quality. The MoJ are only now starting to take these dodgy claims companies seriously after largely ignoring the problem for the last year.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0 -

hi i actually used to work for this company. as far as i know its all lagit but if i'm honest i would never pay out money over the phone after a 10 minute conversation. i was only working as a cold caller so i have no idea of the actuall set up of the business so please be wary of giving them an upfront fee. i was actually sacked from the company on tuesday of this week due to the fact that they found out i was going to back to uni in september. they said they didnt want to waste the time and money on me so if i'm honest i think the company is a load of ****. i had no written or verbal warnings and i've spoken to citizens advice and they say i have a case for unfair dismisal. please anyone reading this dont use their company. dont work for the company and most of all dont give them your money! there are companies out there that do exactly the same thing for free. so if you think you've been missold ppi or any financial agreement you are actually entitled to your money back and your mortgage or loan could be writen off. please seek free advice and dont go paying any upfront fees to any companies! especially this one!
good luck with your claims!0 -
forgot to say! i used to work for the cento client review that was initially being discussed :-)0

So today, when they rang i took all there details nad even spoke to a MANAGER...whoop whoo!! Here it is. Let me know what you think!!
******I have received two phone calls from a company called Cento Client Review. The 1st phone call I told them I wasn't interested and the 2nd phone call I listened to them. As I was sceptical, the woman I originally spoke to put me onto her manager who said that the company they worked for were regulated by the ministry of justice and quoted a registration number of CRM16588.
They told me that they could claim back interest and charges etc from loan, credit cards and my mortgage from Northern Rock, (where they got information on who I have my mortgage with baffles me). They were wanting to charge an admin charge of £149 and said there solicitors take 25% of what they win back for me. They also said to check your website for there registration and they would call me back next week.
Can you please confirm this is a possible scam for me.********
I shall post the reply

I would also like to clarify that Forbes Douglas would never advise a client to stop paying their contracted loan payments. It would be wholely improper for us to give that advice as a Claims Management Company and such advise can only come from a law firm.
Hello Mr Howe,
I was called by Cento Client Review yesterday, when he mentioned the name of your company and said you were solicitors I pulled him up on this.
That guy could argue black was white!
He informed me that they (CCR staff) were told to say you were solicitors. You were as good as solicitors, and you did exactly the same work as solicitors.
May be you should have a word with them about lying.
Telling me I could get money back for misrepresentation when they were doing exactly the same.
Best regards
