If anyone is connected to their printer, could you print them out... my laptop will die if I try to do this now and it takes 20 minutes to log back on... I'm happy to do it if none of you have an accessible printer. Let me know!0 -
So the meet, so far there's Frodders, Sexym and me, Mottisfont, 11.30
Close enough for me to get to......but sadly I'll only be with you in spirit, not up to the walk......have a lovely time xx“Cancer has my body but not my spirit, and I’ll continue to make jokes, not so much about cancer, but in spite of it” Irwin Barker0 -

It is ferking ridiculous. It's OK if he wants to BORROW money, but not OK if he wants to DEPOSIT money. I have really seethed over the whole saga this evening. And, with no disrespect to anyone else at all, it seems that because he's had the same job for several years, doesn't drive, doesn't go abroad and has lived with his Mum without claiming any benefits (if he had claimed even £1 in the last year and had a letter to say he'd done so, it would all be fine) he cannot prove who he is as far as the current account is concerned!
One of the things the Passport Office told me to do was to write a letter to them saying he lives at this address and has done for x number of years. I shall do that! We even dived into the recycling bin this evening and dug out his polling card for yesterday. That has his name and address on it.
The whole 'prove your identity' thing stinks - big time and I'm even considering writing to my MP about it.
But I'll calm down now - I promise.
Do you go to church or know a church minister well? Our minister often writes letter for people confirming that he knows them and stating their address so that they can open bank accounts...0 -
Except the first one gives me a nasty error...
I'll try it while i'm having my shower. If it doesn't work for me either then it's obviously not meant to be! I've got my directions, so if I'm not logged off by 10.30 someone needs to remind me to leave the house!
AnW's mum - hugs and prayers coming your way for all of you.
Froddy - that's three of us who'll be ranting... hope poor sexymouse can cope :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
This may be of interest to those of you either suffering from or concerned about the risk of cancer... I read it this morning in the Ecologist and thought I'd share it with you.0 -

No, we don't I'm afraid though thank you for the thought. I do know several people qualified enough to countersign the passport photo - but that doesn't actually need doing. Apparently (and someone mentioned this earlier in the thread) he'll need the passport for the solicitor too. I reckon this is all a ploy by the government to bring in identity cards!I am the leading lady in the movie of my life

Morning everyone. Sorry I haven’t been around for a few days but its difficult when I get so tired from working full time. Haven’t got time to catch up with all your posts so I’ll just say, I hope you are all okay and big hugs for those that need them.
OH is out all day today so I am hoping to get loads done. As you can see I have the whole weeks list to do. Also I want to go down to Felixstowe to the material shop to get some fabric and some buttons. I’ll shut up now and see if I can get some of the tasks done.
