Hello Flybabies! :hello:
Can I join please? :xmastree: I know it's too late for this week, but would like to join for next week!
I've been trying to "Fly" with FlyLady herself for the last few years and found her an inspiration. Some tips have stuck (I religiously clean my front door and use my feather duster to clear the cobwebs from ceilings), but I can't ever do the 15mins a day of decluttering or sink shining or hotspots....
This thread seems more realistic, so may be the motivation I need to finally sort out my mess of a house
Looking forward to it
Thanks! Mac x0 -

It is ferking ridiculous. It's OK if he wants to BORROW money, but not OK if he wants to DEPOSIT money. I have really seethed over the whole saga this evening. And, with no disrespect to anyone else at all, it seems that because he's had the same job for several years, doesn't drive, doesn't go abroad and has lived with his Mum without claiming any benefits (if he had claimed even £1 in the last year and had a letter to say he'd done so, it would all be fine) he cannot prove who he is as far as the current account is concerned!
One of the things the Passport Office told me to do was to write a letter to them saying he lives at this address and has done for x number of years. I shall do that! We even dived into the recycling bin this evening and dug out his polling card for yesterday. That has his name and address on it.
The whole 'prove your identity' thing stinks - big time and I'm even considering writing to my MP about it.
But I'll calm down now - I promise!froddington wrote: »Any final decisions on tomorrow? And do we have a wet weather plan?
There's an alternative suggestion of meeting up around Romsey to make it easier for SexyM to join us if she wants.I am the leading lady in the movie of my life

Welcome Macg! I suggest that when next week's list starts (at some point on sunday evening) you add your Christmas tree again.I am the leading lady in the movie of my life

macgirl - you are welcome to join us. There is usually a weekend list (not compulsory!!) - you might find it worthwhile to do some of the things on that. Or you could look at this week's lists and pick a couple of Level One tasks to get you started. Otherwise, the new thread will start on Sunday ready for next week.
soappie - we could be a right pair of ranters tomorrow!!!"There's only one way of life and that's your own" - Levellers

I haven't got very far with my list! I'm so tired after all the problems with my eyes this morning that i'm off to bed for a long sleep and i will try again tomorrow. Have a fun Friday night all! Tink xDebt to clear: feels endless...
Weight loss to go: 42lb/13.5lb
Maybe someday i'll be skinny, organised and debt free..

Soappie, DH opened a new building society account a couple of months ago. We wanted to put it in joint names (it's easier if one of you gets run over by a bus) but I couldn't prove my ID so it had to go in his name only. We've been married for 36 years but back in those days all utilities bills got put in the husband's name, so no proof there, I don't drive, I don't have a passport. They did an electronic check and he passed that but probably because stuff is in his name.
Last year at work we all had to provide proof of our ID. Most of us have been there getting on 20 years! They wanted passport etc. but had to accept birth certificate and marriage certificate for most of us and I had to send off for the long version of the birth certificate because I only ever had the short version so that cost me money too.
Not happy!0
