soappie.. when we got our mortgage neither I nor hubby had either a passport nor a driving licence (I still have neither!!).. they accepted a couple of utility bills (council tax was suggested as it is a formal document.. we used the tax credit letter too), a bank statement and our marriage certificate... if he doesn't need a new passport then tell the mortgage people they don't have those things and there are other options!!
Was that a while ago pigpen? There was a new law introduced, Proceeds of Crime? something like that and banks, lawyers etc have to be very careful when dealing with mortgages. I had to take in ID to my lawyers and its my cousins firm! No exceptions :rotfl:But maybe that's just in Scotland?0 -

I've washed up again (my kitchen is getting almost clean!) and have put cloths in the bathroom ready to clean it.
I'm very pleased with the results of my work today it's quite tidy in here. Need to put the floordrobe away so that DH can go to bed later! But the floors are nice - it looks nice in here and is much more relaxing now I don't have to keep hurdling things, slipping on things, sidestepping round things..."Snowflakes are one of nature's most fragile things, but just look what they can do when they stick together."

Thursday Scrub-a-dub ~ bathroom/loo and cruddy study!
DONE!!!!:j:j:j:j
2 room completed, 3 left to do, might do one more tonight and then do the upstairs tomorrow.
Or might just eat my pud and have a cup of tea and wash up instead and do them tomorrow. Won't take too long!
Hope everyone is ok, haven't read the thread yet, will catch up later. Hugs available to those who need one, I certainly needed one today but flying took my mind of things and I feel a better now. Might need to distract myself further if my mood sinks a bit later on, may fly thenfinal unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550 -
I think the providing ID is about money laundering rules. These have been tightened up in the fairly recent past as part of the battle against terrorism, I think. Or maybe just organised crime.
Did I say this already? I realised a big cause of stress in my life was not ever having a clean teaspoon to hand, and I looked it up on t'internet, apparently research has been done and the half-life of a teaspoon is 81 days. So I went on egay and ordered 48 of the little divils.:eek::eek:
My next cause of stress is the dw that collapses internally every time i try to empty it, but costs a bit more to put right, that one! Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0 -
