Personally I would write what you said, but I don't blame you for writing your notice at all.

im just sad its come to this and angry really that he can say to me he really respects me, and saw big things in the future for me and him building the practice and our families growing together and then just treats me like a 2nd class citizen....Wealth is not measured by currency0

its very weird, i seem to be getting the exaact opposite of what our practice members get.
I just think the relationship has reached the point of being completely unsalvagable. I'm writing my 4 week notice letter tomorrow, so basically i will not go back there after we go to nyc.
I am tempted to write an explanation of how I feel, and mention that he has neglected to adher to the T&C of my employment which entitle me to 2 days off full pay for bereavement.
DH just says to give a basic 4 line letter, giving my notice and date of termination, and be done with it.
What do you all think?
It's hard to know as I think you will need a reference. Do you think he will provide one for you?
I remember you saying that your OH didn't get on with your boss for a while. Did he always have an inkling that he was a bit like that?Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

dh did, i think i just wanted to keep the peace.....
he made some comments about dh's care as well which someone else on my diary knows about and she made a really good point about it being a bit slanty to say, and questions the integrity....
im not sure if my boss will provide one, i'd like to think he wouldnt be a git about it, but then im not entirely sure. thats why i wanted to think long and hard about what i wrote and try and leave the relationship professional enough to get a decent referenceWealth is not measured by currency0 -

Yes a reference is really important so might be worth writing him a letter after he provides you with one. Ultimately he is bullying you out the door.
I'm afraid I don't entirely agree with what the others said earlier. I think he probably is a d*** and is only nice as long as people are towing the line.
I think when you are out of there and in a job with normal working hours and a normal boss you will probably realise how much that job was sucking the life out of you.Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

Hi CAFCgirl - congrats on OH's job! Thanks for your pm and note on your diary.
I am sorry you've had a really bad week - I personally would not recommend putting in writing the things you felt were wrong about the company - it just sours the relationship. I have had past colleagues and bosses turn up at a future jobs so I think you do need to be careful how you end it. You will probably not be entitled to jsa either for a "sanction" period. this is up to each individual case worker.... so don't know how long this would be for. You might still get working tax credits on oh's income and stuff tho....
I think you are better off out of there and honestly don't know how you stuck it so long... I couldn't have done.... Too exhausting and with all that other carp you've had to deal with you've done ruddy marvellous!
Hope things pick up soon.... From my reading I would go with a dmp rather than iva if you can.... don't know if that helps.... And people seem to find CCCS more reliable than payplan for sending off payments in time too.... from reading the forums
I had a nice week's holiday... we set off back from Cornwall about 8pm and drove thro - got home just before 2am but I am still too wired to sleep as I drove all the way!Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Thanks all...
I think you're all right. I will maybe just write more of a standard notie letter, and let it lie like that, and maybe just say thanks for the opportunity that was given to me, ive enjoyed working with the team etc (which is all true).....
I've got my full phone interview with Payplan, shame hearing that they are a bit pants though
cccs didnt get back to me after i sent them the further information, it was only payplan so i kinda went with them by default.
im going rock climbing for a few hours today, which should be cool, its on my 101 list so thats two ticks off Ive got now
Am surprisingly in a much better mood today now that Im not at work LOL doesnt that just proove something.......!!!Wealth is not measured by currency0 -
i need advice about my letter if anyone is around. I'll post what ive written so far:
Deleted as i was having a stupid moment.....
So what d'yall think?Wealth is not measured by currency0 -
Hi,
Just read the letter. Please don't sent that to him as this will make him think that all that he has said and done to you is right.
Firstly - he crossed the line by providing you with life coaching. If he was any good at his job he would have delegated this task to another staff member. If you can't separate your feelings then you are not an effective life coach - simple as that
He has undermined your self-confidence so much that you have spent the whole letter apologising to him and saying that you have failed him. I think he has abused his position and I think he is a bully.
He also made you think that you are not strong and resilient when in fact you have gotten through so many things this year (that I won't mention cos you know them yourself). How could you have gotten through all that if you were not strong?
I'm sorry CAFC but seeing this letter saddens me so much as I know what a lovely, hard working person you are. You do not deserve this treatment. This man is a very destructive individual and has destroyed all your confidence.
I hope you are okay. I don't know how you have stayed in that working environment for so long.Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

I'm with CMD
If you are going to resign just write a letter saying
"It is with deep regret that I have made the decision to resign giving my x weeks notice. I would like to thank you for the opportunities and training I have received while working for you, however I feel that my future lies outside this organisation.
Yours sincerely"Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030
