  • Hi CAFC - good luck with the 3 applications. It's nice to 'hear' you sounding so much happier, as the song goes 'things can only get better'. I bet you can't wait to go to NYC, I'd love to go there, I have developed a fear of flying though so not sure if I will be going on an aeroplane in the near future.

September tomorrow, a new month and hopefully a lucky one for all of us.

    lol @ Jerry Springer comment

CAFC, I am so pleased for you, now you are taking this step YOU will have control back of your situation, for too long you have lived your life for your bosses company and danced to his tune. As someone that has recently done that handing notice in with no job to go to thing - best decision I ever made even though I haven't yet got another job. It is one of the only decisions I have ever made just for me and i have learnt a lot doing it.

You sound so much more positive and that is a marvellous thing! Good luck for this week.

I saw a post earlier talking about havinng someone to call when things get ugly at work, the organisation that you can speak to to get advice is ACAS, they can talk you through the things that you are entitled to and the processes that have to happen. They can't represent you but they can help you see what to do next and what to be aware of.
