I am with the others hun, its a good letter and well written but don't send it. It's written as if you are in the wrong and you have let them down which you have not done in the slightest.

It has probably helped you personally to put things down on paper but it shouldn't go to him.

Now I am sober lol, I am thinking write a short to the point resignation letter and when he reads it if he chooses to discuss your reasons then I would mention some of their failings NOT yours!

    Take care chick

    true...

DH said the same things. what ive said is true, i do feel a lot of that but perhaps for the sake of leaving things as professional as possible, i should just stick to the one liners....

Yeah, I reckon that it the best thing to do. Don't forget that they have let you down, you haven't let them down at all.

You have to do what is right for you cafcgirl - I wouldn't worry about their reaction it will be what it will be.... don't misplace your loyalty.

I think altho being unemployed is a very scary place to be with your passion and enthusiasm I am sure you will find something good soon! I would love to hear of you working less hours, more local to home and having time for a more normal life.... Relaxing, destressing, decluttering.... just time to be you..... You will get thro this - and we will be here for you!

    thanks saving xx

today will be a good day, sun is shining, ive got bits and bobs to be doing. went out for a drink last nigt with one of the practitioners from work who left this week and he gave me quite a lot of insight into what it was like for him watching the way my boss behaves with me sometimes.
He even said to me my boss wont find another person so willing and determined to do as good a job as I, and to his shame, he has neither appreciated nor recognised what ive been doing, and i shouldnt (given my capabilities) be reduced to working somewhere like that....
very sweet of him to say and ive probably really needed to hear it as well.....

Saw the family, went for lunch, DH and I have been good, and he has just been short listed to receive an application for GM Fire Service!!!!And based on the dates he has been emailed the start date would be January 2010....

I'm going to meet an old colleague for coffee and cake tomorrow, and then DH starts job tuesday.....

So as DH said things could be looking up for us!!! FINALLY!!

Also been looking at whats available to rent in the North and have found some gorgeous places, a 4 bed cottage for about 75 more than what we pay here and less council tax, and looks AMAZING!
