Are Starpdrops any good for heavy stain removal?

I ran out of my boyfriends house into the main road in my socks two weeks ago when we had to call an ambulance - I can't get the socks clean now! Worth a try?

  • WOW i've just used stardrops on my kitchen sink an it was soo shiny, then i remembered that baby oil gives stainless steel a great shine, hmm gave it a go and i now need sunglass for the sine coming off of it. Am hoping the baby oil will give it a coating so nothing should stick, make cleaning even easier.
  • If only i'd have persaveered last nite i'd have found it, ah well, thanks for the link, i'll try it on the back of the sofa first then see if it can cope with dark denim stains, will let you know how it goes.

Fantastic product!! I finally managed to get some in Asda at 58p a bottle, and it was right at the bottom, at the end of the shelf so looked hard! Figured so many people couldn't be wrong as I've not seen one bad review and it took me hours to read this post!!!!

Anyway - did my kitchen floor as had cavity insulation done last week and one of the inside walls had to have holes drilled in it because it used to be an outside wall before an extension was added. The floor was covered in dust, mopped it 3 times and no luck so went to Asda, only used a little of it with warm water and my floor has NEVER looked better, at least since it was first layed!! :j :j :j

I was so pleased, did some of the cupboards and am abit scared to use on leather sofa but have read a couple of posts here where others have....

Thank you so much!!! Will never need to buy the other products again, and also put up with the "cleaning" smell they have.

Also put some in a bucket with hot water and just "chucked it" on the decking, came up a treat! So did the same with the grubby floor out front and it definately brings the dirt up, has anyone else tried this? Was going to invest in a power washer but don't know if i'll need to now ;)

I just put all my oven trays and shelves into a hot bath with star drops. You still have to rub a bit but it's an easy way of doing them. OR you could put them into a double black bin bag with cup of amonia and leave overnight, It loosens the grease.

BE CAREFUL THOUGH FOR THE FUMES WHEN YOU OPEN THE BAG TO GET THEM OUT, VERY UNPLEASANT IF THEY GET UP YOUR NOSE AND IN YOUR EYES.
  • Think i might go woth the bath idea, I put some neat into my enamel trays and its taken loads of the gunk off, even some of the burnt stuff (not that i burn food regularly, ahem)

May be useful for those who are in those parts of the country where it is hard to get hold of it

Hello, I was in the cash and carry with my Mum on friday and noticed that you can get stardrops 12x the standard sized bottle for about a fiver or a 5L drum for 4 quid. I know not everyone has access to the cash and carry but maybe worth asking a friend you know that has a card?"

so the ordinary bottle works out to 41p and the big bottle works out at 48p per bottle size
