I've just realised that I forgot the washing up liquid this week and I'm out. It says on my bottle of unopened Stardrops that you can wash up with it. Anyone tried it? Worried I'll get funny tasting mugs.
I'm using up all my cif (which I bulk bought) before I convert to stardrops like everyone else.AUGUST GROCERY CHALLENGE £115.93/ £250

there is a lot more lather so use sparingly
the dishes seem to sparkle a bit more though!Debt of £6300 cleared in 5 years, now ZERO0 -
I find that glassware especially looks so sparkly if you wash it in stardrops!0

I notice Tesco have started to stock it again locally 58p per bottle.0

Sorry if this has been posted before, but I know there a lot of tesco shoppers who hate it not being stocked anymore:
(lifted from https://www.tesco.com/customerservices/custServCustomerDesk.htm)
"Discontinued Lines
If we have stopped selling a product that you would normally buy, we will find out whether the product is re-orderable or let you know any reason why its not. We will endeavour to re-stock the product where possible."
Worth petitioning CS at your local staore, maybe?0 -
I got my first bottle yesterday - though my husband is convinced I used to use it when we first moved int otgether 25 years ago ( cant remember that though)
I'm hoping it'll take the place of the thousands of cleaning products we currently buy. I have cupboards full of somethings but ran out of bathroom cleaner, so bought this to try. Will use up the rest of the bottles then start using the stardrops for that too.
Will also try it on the stair carpet where my OH spilt coffee yesterday and dint wipe it up properly. He blames the dog!!! - somehow cant see the dog cleaning it up!!! (or drinking the coffee either come to think)
ah the start of a new era

well I did buy some startdrops and I am loving it! It does seem to get the sink and hob supershiny.
Haven't tried it on the toilet but since every other commercial "100% limescale remover" type cleaner doesn't shift it I am doubtful.
I think I need to go down the hand down the loo with a pumice stone path
i also got a microfibre cloth and I loving it too! It does seem to mop up the dirt rather than just smearing it around the place!
My only complaint about the stardrops is that my daughter, aged almost 2, loves the cute wee star on the label and I am not too happy with the bottle looking all appealing to a child.Jan GC: £202.65/£450 (as of 4-1-12)

JillD - We used a product from Lidls for our toilet they are limescale remover tablets called Power Force ( leave in overnight) and they are ace at getting rid of limescale.
rest of the bathroom is cleaned with stardrops though! Yay!0 -
Thanks for the help. I'm going to use it then to clear up last nights pots. In fact, I'm so sick of waiting for my cif to finish, I'm going to treat myself and use it to do the cleaning today.
Bathroom looking shabby so off to make it sparkle once I get back in. So excited!AUGUST GROCERY CHALLENGE £115.93/ £250

My OH pointed that out as well, and the fact that Startips (their floral disinfectant) is bright Barbie pink. However, they do have Bitrex in them, so hopefully that should stop any serious drinking! You could use a permanent marker to cover the label.0
