Crikey, just spotted this thread.. my Mum used this when I was little, didn't know it was still around. So while doing my online order from asda I had a look and they had it on there, so have ordered a bottle. If they have any in it will arrive tomorrow morning!
I have been trying to go a bit more eco friendly with cleaning products over the last few years, using more white vinegar, bicarb, lemon juice, borax etc.
Still do have some chemical stuff lurking around and use it now and again. But I have spray bottles with white vinegar and water in for the mirrors and windows which works great. The kids complain about the smell of the vinegar, although it doesn't last that long really. i also put bicarb in it to clean the toilet... nice bit fizzing.
Sure I read somewhere that stardrops is eco friendly? is it?
I actually want to try it on our manky old sofa's... I hate them they are so old and smelly, lots of stains and I can't remove cushion covers as the insides are that bad and falling apart. We can't afford new sofa's right now and it is driving me mad, Not actuallly sure how best to go about cleaning it though, would be a huge job. Got one 3 seater and one 2 seater.
Looking forward to trying it out now.
We used to use Zoflora too, so may have to reinvest in that one as well.

I had a friend over the other day, and ended up giving her one of my stock of stardrops bottles. She was cleaning my ceramic hob and couldn't believe how well it cleaned.
so we need to get out too :rotfl:0 -

My complaint is, due to the popularity of this thread (it can't be anything else!) my local ASDA has been sold out of microfibre cloths for the last 3 weeks!!!
I've bought three so far... 88p in ASDA and 99p in Tesco. I wonder if Proper Job sells them?"He who asks questions cannot avoid the answers"0 -

I agree - it has to be having an effect; why else would Stardrops be popping up in shops that have never before stocked it?
Got a Poundland anywhere near you? I was in Asda yesterday and had a look at their cloths, just out of curiosity, and they seemed to be very similar to the Poundland ones, apart from the price (work out at 25p each).0 -
Thanks Tawnyowl, I shall pop in poundland later today."He who asks questions cannot avoid the answers"0

Just used some stardrops on my very yukky:o oven door and it has come up lovely and clean! Also did the tray at the bottom of the oven which was very bad as I hadn't lined it with foil (have now). I have only used it on the floors up to now. Is it good on chrome taps? Our days are happier when we give people a bit of our heart rather than a piece of our mind.

Brilliant on taps, and stainless steel sinks. A quick trot into the pound shop might find you a Teflon oven sheet, which would cut down on the oven cleaning in future.0
