Phew! It's taken me an age to read to the end of this thread!
Right! That's it! I'm going to have to go out and buy some Stardrops when I next go shopping... and a microfibre cloth or two, of course.
Just one query though...
If microfibre cloths are as good as they are claimed to be - and most people use a microfibre cloth when cleaning with Stardrops - how do we know that it's actually Stardrops that's getting all the great results and not just the microfibre cloth?"He who asks questions cannot avoid the answers"0 -

A very good point. To answer, I bought the Stardrops before I bought the cloths - my first try was a disgustingly greasy cooker hood, and I used a sponge for that.. Having said that, I did point out on another thread that some cloths I bought in a pound shop were better than the Tesco ones, so there is a bit of physical cleaning from the cloths going on too.0 -

Yes, much better than the Astonish cleaner that I used on the other half of the hood, which I'd previously been quite impressed with, but Stardrops beat it hollow. Since getting the microfibre cloths, I don't find that they make a tough job like that hugely easier, but they are much better for the less tough ones, if that makes sense? What I mean is, I still have to scrub ovens and burnt-on food on the hob, but wiping down the worktops, tiles, sink, etc just seems to need a wipe or two with the microfibre cloth, rather than the sort of mini-scrub in patches needed if I use a cotton one.0 -
Yeah, I know what you mean Tawnyowls, there are some jobs that just take that little extra bit of elbow grease.
Well, Stardrops is now top of my shopping list and I'm sooo excited about trying it out. Plus microfibre cloths, mustn't forget that one!
How sad does this sound? Moi, looking forward to housework!!!! :rotfl:"He who asks questions cannot avoid the answers"0 -
another stardrops convert here lol:j :j
I couldn't get it anywhere here, and then stumbled across it in my local 'warehouse' shop. Think I bought their whole stock out:o
It's great, has brought my living room carpet back to new looking, even though i have a Vax it didn't work nearly as well until I used Stardrops.
:T :T :T :T0 -
Ooh! I'm so pleased - was walking past the shop last week and there was a stand full of large bottles of Stardrops (my mum swears by it, I've never tried it). It was free with the Yorkshire Evening Post (37p) - I bought one, wish I'd bought 5!!!
One question though, can I use it on laminate floors? I'm sure I can but what concentration (mop&bucket?)0 -

... although looking at this thread, it looks as though I won't be disappointed!
I'm going to be buying a new vax wet cleaner (upright), although I don't think I'll be using stardrops in it, just in case it causes a problem."He who asks questions cannot avoid the answers"0
